Anybody still watching?

How deep is Adam's voice now?! So crazy. I really love the relationship he has Andrea.

Speaking of relationships, I am really interested to see how Sean will be as a parent.

I'm still watching. I loved the conversation between Cathy and Sean about him needing to get help. It really touched me because of past experiences with my own mom.

Did anyone watch the finale?? I watched it Monday and cried and accidentally caught it last night and cried AGAIN. Please tell me I'm not a big cry baby!

Also, this show wins for most depressing season finales...I didn't think it could get worse than Adam and the gifts. Dammit, now I want to cry again.

Season 3 just started! Last night I caught up and watched the first three episodes. I don't want to spoil it, but I was shocked. This is going to be another great season. Gah, I love this show!

In the past few weeks I watched all of episodes 1 & 2 on Netflix. Some of it I love and some of it is just okay but it certainly sucked me in. I loved Lee.

My mom had melanoma. I don't know what stage (not IV) when she was diagnosed, but they cut a huge chunk out of her back and she lived for 10 years until they discovered it had metastasized to her brain. That was 30 years ago, though, and she was lucky they found it so soon.

I don't want to hijack the thread but those of you who loved this show, what would be another show with a similar feel that you enjoyed?

I've been thinking about this question since you asked it. And I can't come up with anything. This show has a unique vibe of serious, weird, funny, and sad going on. The finales of the first two seasons made my cry like a baby. Im not sure what is in store for the third season finale, but it's shaping up to be interesting.

What is it about this show that you like? Maybe that will help trigger something for me to suggest to you.

I cancelled my Showtime to save money and I'm now realizing how much it sucks because I am or will be missing shows like this, Dexter, Weeds and Homeland. It's a first-world problem, but I wanted to whine about it.

I like the complexity of the characters and their relationships (not *really* complex but complex for a tv show). Like an Alice Munro story. I also liked Six Feet Under for the same reason.

I used to like this show but not feeling the love this season, it just seems to be going through the motions.

But its a little like Nurse Jackie I think... black comedy but serious darker themes...

Ok, gotcha. I was going to suggest Six Feet Under, but that is a bit darker and heavy. And it got a little weird at times. But the ending of that show has to be my all time favorite series finale ever!

I watch a lot of premium channel series and I love drama. When shiitake pushes my buttons and makes me cry is when I love it the most. So here are some shows I loved.

Queer as Folk - The US edition, must watch
Weeds - Still on, new season starts in July
Tell me You Love Me - Only had one short season on HBO
The Tudors
Dexter - Although I haven't seen all of the latest season yet
Secret Diary of a Call Girl - Still going
Shameless - Still going, must watch
US of Tara - Still going I think, but I heard it got cancelled
Big Love
Entourage
Girls - First season running now
How to Make it in America - Think it got cancelled after the 2nd season
Sex and the City
The Wire
Oz
The Sopranos - I did not love this series, but I was sucked in to the end just because I devoted so many years watching it I had to finish it.
In Treatment - Really good, but I can't keep up with the schedule, so I haven't seen the third season.

Regular TV shows I don't do much of. But My So Called Life is one of my favorite shows ever.

Wow thanks, GraciaKai! I think you and I have similar tastes in tv entertainment. There are a few there that I have seen but most I have never heard of and will have to look up.

You should be able to get most if not all of that from Netflix if you have it. I actually own Queer as Folk and My So Called Life, cause they are just that good.

Did anyone see that this is coming back for 4 episodes only! I'm happy and sad about this. It was due to be cancelled after the last season, so at least we are getting something but then that will be it.
