I'm so addicted to Minecraft. I bought it less than a week ago and it's utterly taken over my life. It's all I can think about.

Anyone else play? If so, let's do some collaborative building!

I have it. I spent a week playing it way back when and I've barely touched it since. I need goals. However, I have setup my own server to goof around with locally. Maybe when I get back to Carbondale, I'll make it public for PPKers.

My husband plays Minecraft, but we both watch the Yogscast Minecraft videos more than he actually plays the game. I've never played it myself, but it looks kinda fun. But boring and repetitive at the same time.

Boyfriend was completely obsessed with it for a while. I never got to play because he was playing ALL THE TIME. It looked kind of cool though. I especially liked it when he showed me how to bake a cake in Minecraft.

OH YEAH, its crazy addictive. I spent several weeks down in the mine. Its been awhile though cause I've been trying to take a break. I'm still a little frustrated because I spent A LOT of time mining obsidian for a pretty house and later learned you can just use a bunch of buckets of lava and water to make obsidian blocks where ever you like.

Yeah, the lava trick is a good'un!

I keep dying with an inventory full of goodies and not being able to find my way back to where I died.

Some friends of mine tried to get me into it. They spent an hour being lost in a cavern. It did not seem like fun at all, and I'm not allowed to play online games at any rate.

By the part of me that is vaguely interested in self-preservation.

I played for a bit, but after I figured out the basics, it seemed fairly dull. I managed to build an automated minecart system, a indoor greenhouse, a nether portal, and a library, but after that, everything just seemed a bit repetitive. A lot of people compare and contrast it to Dwarf Fortress (which I love), but I don't see the comparison apart from the fact that both involve mining.

Boyfriend and I played it for a while. We mined a lot, some pigs committed suicide by jumping in a lava pit so I covered it with glass and put up a rest in peace sign near it. Currently, I'm lost in the mine because I deviated from my organized routine and dug randomly. I also enjoyed editing the default skin to look like all of my mice and made one of myself too. I should upload them to a Minecraft skin site because there seems to be a lack of female and cutesy skins.

Also, Dwarf Fortress rules.

Anyone else still play this? I <3 Minecraft....

I'll have to tell TRS about this thread. He loves Minecraft.
