I didn't even think about Jim being drunk when he left. I just took it as him trying to get the hell out of there as quickly as possible, and no foliage will stop him!

He did drink quite a bit of wine and appeared a bit less than sober.

I guess he didn't seem drunk to me. And having a few glasses of wine doesn't equal drunk or even over the legal limit.

Signed, someone who takes drunk driving very seriously.

i was trying to decide if he was actually drinking out of the bottle or just faking it.

i still dont like robert california and i dont think i ever will. he annoys the crepe out of me.

have we actually heard like the name/gender of Jim & Pams baby??? i know Jenna Fischer is on real maternity leave but i feel like they could like make an announcement on the show. maybe i missed that?

i feel like her water broke on one episode and then she disappeared totally

Robert California is really annoying. I feel like they could do something much better with his character. This episode was probably the least annoying he has been yet. I miss Pam.

I feel like I missed an episode or they really glossed over it, because I've been thinking the same thing! Although, maybe they mentioned that it is a boy??

ok im not the only one then. they totally glossed over it.
i know Jenna is on real maternity leave but maybe they could have had Jim say something???

i mean that couldnt have been that difficult to work into the story line.
all he said on the last episode was "i have two kids at home"

I always think it's weird how shows never discuss it when an actor leaves or takes a break. Like, wouldn't they at least bring Michael up sometimes in discussion? He was their boss for years and years.

I also took Jim's driving away as an attempt to get out of there ASAP and not as drunk driving.

Hitting the foliage was not supposed to be a reference to his drunkenness. Moments before that scene, he told Meredith that her van was blocking his car. So, the only way he could leave there would be to plow through the yard.

Isn't it a boy? Because there was that whole kerfuffle when Angela and Pam both wanted to name their babies "Phillip."

Also, I agree about Robert California being soooo annoying.

I kind of love how they've slooowly revealed Robert California's weird-as-fuckness, though. He started off mostly boring with only a touch of weird.

Angel was there. She was lurking a lot, but didn't have much of a role.

Angela never has much of a role anymore, which is kind of sad because she used to be pretty great when she had stuff to do.

I loved when she said they were in her "lane" in the pool.

i liked when she used to always talk about her senator boyfriend/fiance and then Oscar would be like "STATE senator."
and then there was some foreshadowing that the state senator might be gay.
that plot line seems to have disappeared though

So Angela didn't have her baby yet? You couldn't really tell when she was in the water. I hope they didn't just magic that plot line away too!

no, i don't think she has had her baby, but i remember her being significantly smaller than pam, so she'll probably have him in a month or something.

Me too! I literally laugh out loud at that scene no matter how many times I see it.

I totally can't picture her as a mother (except to cats). I wonder if we'll ever actually see the baby.

I hoped Steve Carell leaving would mean more air time for the existing supporting cast, but that actually hasn't happened at all. Dumb!

i agree. they have such an AMAZING supporting cast but instead of using their strengths they have made ANdy's character weird and annoying (and he was such an awesome side character) and brought in super annoying Robert California.

thank god Dwight still always seems to have a good part.
