My husband and I just started watching in the middle of last season, and we're converts. We're working our way through season 1 right now, and I AM SO INTO IT!

Oh man, I love Fringe. And Walter is my favorite tragi-comic character in a long time.

I love Walter. We missed portions of last season and we saw the season premiere of this season but haven't seen more.

Fringe was one I really was scared I'd be disappointed by. Thank god I wasn't! I think it's one of my favorite shows other than Caprica and Dr. Who.

Right?! When we went back and watched the pilot we were shocked by how good it was. I usually try to give pilots a lot of leeway because they try to fit so many intros and explaining in it can feel a bit off, but Fringe just nailed it. It probably helps that so much is meant to be left unexplained.

Yeah, y'know, there are definitely some cheesy bits, but I don't care. I still love it. It tickles fun parts of my brain, and it takes itself totally seriously even when it's Walter talking about some kind of ridiculous thing or other, which is really what makes it for me.

Most of them are terrible actors and the script gets really cheesy and amateurish sometimes, but I still love this show. It fills the X Files void in my life.

last night, i thought that nina was on to the fact that it wasn't the real olivia. and then... she wasn't.

i will keep on watching the show for walter alone, since he's one of my favorite characters in all of creation. but let's get on board, peter. if you don't figure out that's not olivia pretty damn fast, i'm not going to be able to keep tuning in and being mesmerized by your perfect eyebrows.

the second half of season 1 was definitely the highest point of the show for me, but the show is going to have to get way worse before i stop caring. also, pacey. yum.

i'm still holding on to the belief that maybe SOMEONE has figured it out and just isn't speaking up yet. nina, especially, doesn't seem like the type who would just come out and say it if she did figure it out. she might see it as an opportunity and get all stealthy. or, at least i'm hoping because omg how has no one figured it out yet?!

the previews really did make it seem like the olivia/fauxlivia stuff is coming to a head. it's definitely time.

I didn't read the thread because I'm really behind on this show, but I really really liked what I did see. I really need to find the time to watch all this.

I am SO SICK of Fauxlivia. Even her bangs bug me. I'm with esme - I'm barely paying attention these days. I pay more attention when I get Olivia, less attention when it's Fauxlivia, but enough so that I can get the other real characters. I need Fauxlivia to get lost, even if it's fun to say Fauxlivia. And Walternate.

Okay, and now I'm mad that it's sucking and Fauxlivia is annoying, because it's such a great show otherwise. The Peter/Walter relationship and the idea of it all - ARGH!

Previews! Good. The nice cab driver! And maybe Fauxlivia does get lost. Also, I may never be able to deal with Olivia as a blonde, ever again.

Oh shiitake, I'm only halfway through the first season and I'm starting to get the feeling that I shouldn't be poking around this thread. Love it so far, though.

appifanie, I'm so with you. And it's good to know I'm not the only one sitting there mumbling about Fauxlivia's hair.
This season has to get better. Also, I want more real mysteries instead of one ginormous evil plot. They can do that in the background. Pleeeease?

The whole buried pieces of an ancient high tech device makes me feel like the writers have been watching too much anime.

I also wish that fauxlivia would make up her mind if she's going to be pro-alternate universe or come around to not destroying our universe already! I never thought I'd miss the free standing episodes, but the main arc episodes need to speed it up or something.

I agree. I'm almost getting irritated that no one seems to have figured it out.

i enjoy the olivia in the alternate universe episodes so, so, so much more than the fauxlivia episodes.

i can't believe i've got to wait two weeks to see peter actually connect the friggin' dots.
