I can't get enough of this song. It's the b-side to "Why do fools fall in love" which I also love but this song has so much more going on.

That's exactly the song that popped into my head when I saw this thread title. Watching Pink Flamingos a couple weeks ago must have had that influence.

I can't say I remember hearing it in that movie, all I remember is the scene that "Surfing Bird" plays in, which is another great oldie, and used in a very sick scene.

yes to Paint It Black and Sarah Vaughn and YES to Stevie Wonder (I know every record by heart.....I grew up living with an amazing 1000+ vinyl record collection)

There's way too many to list, but I always, always love Bill Withers and Otis Redding!

Total Eclipse of the Heart maeks me belt away like a maniac. I am also a huge fan of Paint it Black, but lately I am stuck on Springsteen's I'm on Fire, Born to Run and Dancing in the Dark and Sister Goldenhair-America. Oh and I am loving Wanda Jackson's Funnel of Love.
