I've been getting the tattoo itch lately. I have one that I got years ago (you know, the stereotypical 18-year-old-on-spring-break-in-the-middle-of-the-night situation) that I'm starting to regret. I want something better as a cover-up. I'd like some sort of traditional style fruit (e.g. AFR art, or a cabbage rose cabbage…), but I don't know how that'll work with what I've got. Any insights?

I bet a sliced-in-half cabbage would work great, with the center covering up the old tattoo? But the best thing to do is find a good artist!

A good artist can turn almost anything into anything, doesn't have to go with the shape or color or anything. My cover-up is a little mind blowing to me sometimes.

Find an artist who specializes in covers and whose work you like. Yours is so small and simple that you probably have very few limitations on what you can get done. A good cover-up artist can do truly amazing things. My sister had a palm-sized black and red geometric monstrosity covered with a palm tree and trailing orchids (so like the most opposite thing ever!) and if I didn't know what was under there I'd never believe it for a second.
