AutumnVegan If you want it on your inner bicep just go for it! The pain is quite bad but wherever you put it it's probably going to hurt. In a way it'll be good to get that area outa the way first! Back of calf'd look rad & you could consider the side of your thigh, that's where I have my broccoli & I love it!

I think the cookie lollipop's going to be super cute too.

Agreed! My first inner bicep was horrible, but only after the first hour or so (totally fine at first, but by the end, when going over the same areas, it felt like a cat scratching a sunburn). But my other inner bicep actually wasn't too bad. And it's really different for everyone - it's hard to know which spots are going to hurt the most. While my inner bicep probably hurt the most during, my ribs hurt for the longest.

Wherever you get it, it is going to hurt at least a little, but then it will stop hurting, and you'll have the tattoo forever and won't even remember the pain! And if you really need to, you can take a break during the tattoo session or schedule it in two shorter sessions.

Regardless of what you decide, I think the artichoke is going to be gorgeous! Love the idea!

I've getting a velveteen rabbit forearm tattoo with a bunch of art-nouveau-ish foliage! Soon! (hopefully Saturday)

Okay, appointment made! It's next Saturday and Gerry Kramer is doing it. So let's see, vegan inks with a vegan artist and oh, there will just happen to be a vegan bake sale at the tattoo parlor during the entirety of my four house session. This is going to be the most vegan tattoo ever. :)

I got this done about 5 years ago. It's an image from a Leonard Cohen album that I had slightly modified. The colors have held up over the years too!

Four hours in on my new forearm tattoo. The (velveteen) rabbit will be coloured in dark browns and tan, and some of the leaves need to be coloured. I love it so far!

Wow, very beautiful! I love leaves and trees and plants and stuff on tattoos (obviously...).

I recognize only "Vegan Planet"... I seem to have too few cookbooks.

I'm with you smultron, everything that goes on my body is going to be at least somewhat leaves and trees inspired. I have a stupid 18-year-old bad decision sun tattoo on my back that I want to turn into something art nouveau tree-like. Now that I've found my favourite artist, it might even be possible!

Out of curiousity, how do you guys respond when people ask the question "what if twenty years down the road you hate your tattoo and regret getting it?"?

I've been getting that a lot with my platy. I tell people if in twenty years my biggest regret is a tattoo then I must be doing something right!

Me too. But my tattoos are so "me" that I can't imagine ever regretting any of them.
Also, I think I have an even bigger crush on you now, Rowan. ;)
