I started watching this a couple of weeks ago and have just started season 2...anyone else watching? I think it's a Netflix original.

Two nemeses become bonded jilted wives after their husbands reveal they have been having an affair with each other since the 1990s and now plan to get married. Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Sam Waterston and Martin Sheen star.

I'm really enjoying it. It's refreshing seeing older women not being portrayed as 'past it' but still dating, being sexually active and enjoying themselves for a change. I really like Frankie and hope I'm as cool as her if I ever get to that age.

And of course two men finally being comfortable to come out as gay after hiding it for decades.

It's a nice, easy watch and often heart-warming.

I discovered this show on Netflix a few weeks ago and binge watched both seasons in a week and a half! It's so great. I feel exactly the same as you about seeing two older women just being awesome bad asparagus ladies not mom's / grandparents, they are but that's not their only role. It only gets better in S2! I'm scared of spoilering it so I'll just say I totally wanna get my hands on some yam lube!

I love it.
I love that it's older women being played by older women. And that they are finding their way later in life. It's the most "real" representation of women like my mom that I have ever seen.
(I loved the end of season 2! SO MUCH)

Side note: for years my bff and I have talked about having "shell cottage" and when she first watched the show she called me and said "that's us, it's shell cottage and us!" I'm Frankie.

Aaaah, I love this show! I binge-watched season one last summer and haven't had a chance to watch more than S2E1. Good to know it's even better than the first!

I've got an episode or two left to go in S2. This show is truly great.

Yes, love it. I could watch Lily Tomlin in anything but the writing is so great. I really like the side story of the 2 guys working out a path in the gay community.

As much as I love all the main characters, I could listen to Sam Elliott talk all day.

The thing I love about the show as a whole is it's depth and complexity of characters. They are real and fallible and not stereotypes. It seems that the 4 main characters (because I see the show, especially in this second season as Grace and Frankie and Robert and Saul) are navigating not just the divorce and creating a new life in the gay community, but so much of what life is like when you aren't 20 anymore.

For a "sitcom" there is a whole lot of real life.
