Maybe I'm the only one getting bored! There is just not enough coming together for the show as a whole, and too many new characters are being introduced. What happened to jiminy cricket? the story guy? etc. I'm not really liking how so many fairy tale characters are connected with rumplestiltskin.. Beauty and the Beast just kinda got thrown in there. Eh!

I actually liked the Beauty and the Beast angle and that Mr. Gold does know who he is (and isn't totally evil). However, I agree that I'd rather get things going in the "right direction" of other people--especially Emma--realizing that they are from fairy tale land and doing something against the Queen. If that doesn't start by the end of the season, I dunno if I'll watch another season.

I was sorta bored with this episode, to be honest. I liked how Mr.Gold knows who he is or was or whatever, but I hated how he was the beast in the Beauty and the Beast story. Maybe it's because I spent my childhood watching Disney movies, but I felt like Rumplestiltskin just didn't belong in that story whereas him popping up in other stories didn't bother me as bad.
I'd really like the story to move forward some as well. I get why they're running the episodes like they are, but I wouldn't be against a fully fairy-tale or fully Storybrooke episode just to move things along.

This episode seems to be in the direction to progress forward, so I hope it moves that way!

I'm loving this show, it's kept my attention the whole way through and I'm eager for more! I think this version of 'Beauty and the Beast' is pretty interesting, I wouldn't have expected that from Rumpelstiltskin and now I'm kind of excited for them...

I liked this episode, it might be going places. I'm not sure, it still feels a little stagnant, but I did like how Mary margaret stood up for herself.

I hated the secret affair between Mary Margaret and David, so I'm glad that's all over now.
What in the hell did the writer dude do though?! Did he change the story in the book before leaving it for Emma to find? Is he trying to get her to believe in magic by taking her to the magic drinking well, then having "something that was lost return to her"?

I thought he was just re-making the book that was lost, and helping Emma along..part of the breaking of the curse?

But the way he dipped the pages in water and hung them to dry (I'm assuming to make them look old) seemed kinda fishy to me. Maybe I'm just too skeptical?

I'm sure it will be all twisty to drag the show on even more. ; ) I think I'm just being optimistic for some follow through.

The hour flew by, IMO. poopiebitch wrote: What in the hell did the writer dude do though?! Did he change the story in the book before leaving it for Emma to find? I assumed that he was changing parts of it, in order to either help make Emma believe or to completely throw her off. Maybe he's in with Regina and she paid him to change the stories since she knows how much Henry believes everything written in there or something.

Yeah, it did look like he changed some stuff. It seemed suspicious to me.
I didn't really like this episode, but that's because I find Prince Charming to be a whiny jerk. I didn't like the way he kept stringing along his wife in present day, the thing with the two Valentine's day cards cheesed me off.

This show and I have some sort of weird relationship. I don't think it's actually good, but yet I watch it. None of the actors are really great and the writing is 2-d so why am I watching it? Maybe because it just seems all familiar with it being based on fairy tales?

I still think the show/idea is super creative, but had much more potential in the beginning than has been fulfilled, imo.

I'll totally keep watching it. When I'm in school, my requirements for television are: - pretty - requires little on my part - costumes - not on cable channels
Most of the stuff I watch fits this: Once Upon a Time, Grimm, Downton Abbey.

It's online every Tuesday on Logo! allychristine wrote: I still think the show/idea is super creative, but had much more potential in the beginning than has been fulfilled, imo. Have you read Fables? Same idea in comic form (and I love it). kimba wrote: I think this show is awesome. Can't believe all you haters! I don't think I'm a hater, but I'm not sure why I feel a need to tune in! Clearly there is something there. Now Glee, that I'm a hater on (now... 1st season was pretty great). I think because every week I like figuring out who is who? Like who is Booth? His middle name is Wayne so I hope they're not making him a serial killer! I'm still thinking it has to do with that these are comfortable, well-known stories and sometimes you want familiarity.
