Ha, yes! It took me a few times to get that it was "wesen", too. I thought it was "vesson" or some other English word I'd never heard of.
The German & Dutch pronunciation is pretty much the same (well, the z/s is not as soft, but the rest is the same).

I cannot stop shouting "No, it's Wesen (long E)!" every time they mispronounce.
And whenever they show Vienna, I am impressed that it's actual streets and buildings here! There was a scene where the Hexenbiest was in a hotel and outside of the window an impressive building was shown. That's City Hall which means she would have stayed at the National Theater (Burgtheater), which is right across the street. Sheesh!

But yeah, the German pronunciation is horrible!

I'm still watching! I like it a lot, especially now that the Juliet b.s. seems to be over/almost over.

This is seriously my favorite show on TV! I look forward to it each week a little too much. A little pissed that they changed the night. But I also just cut my cable anyway, so I'll be carrying on the Friday night tradition on my own.

Thank Grimm It's Friday!!

This made me laugh, because Wesson is a brand of vegetable oil, so occasionally when they say 'wesen', I think of a clear plastic bottle of vegetable oil!

We just power-watched about seven episodes over the weekend. It may be just me, but I thought this was a really great season. The creatures were amazing (the fly beast was sooo creepy and I loved the adoration Monroe and Rosalee had for the near-mythical blue alien creatures -- it was kind of interesting to think about those creatures as the equivalents of our unicorns). I liked the development of the Monroe and Rosalee, and I particularly liked Rosalee's transformation into a cute little Fuchsbau. They remain my favorite characters in the whole show.

I thought the psychic that Juliet went to see about her amnesia was going to turn out to be wesen or an operative of the royals, so I was kind of sad when that didn't happen, but really, really glad that Juliet's amnesia has been resolved.

We just finished watching the season finale. So much love. I loved it when Monroe mentioned Voodoo Donuts and I also loved that they cast Reg E. Cathey from The Wire as Baron Samedi. I also loved the delicious way the gypsy killed Frau Pech. I hope they can keep up the same level of cheese for next season. Maybe next season will see a baby Grimm and maybe a baby blutbad - fuchsbau hybrid! Not to mention whatever kind of child creepy Adeline has.

The voodoo guy was super creepy. His laugh was really creeping me out.

I miss Grimm. I consider re-watching the seasons but maybe I should put it off until I wrote my BA thesis.

Grimm is back! Who's watching? It's really good so far. Three episodes in, I think.

I am watching and love it. Grimm is one of my very favorite shows. I have seasons 1 & 2 on DVD and watch episodes regularly.

Something tells me that Captain Renard's half brother (James Frain) is not really dead.
