When Tom Hanks first meets the mermaid and she kisses him and then goes back into the water and swims away, why doesn't he think it's weird? He's all "Come back!" for like 15 seconds, then she swims behind a rock and he walks away all dejected. But wouldn't he be super concerned that she drowned or something? It's not like he knew she was a mermaid yet.

Just like Big. I always wonder how he manages to go back to being a kid after he's had so much fun and sex. I mean, wouldn't being a kid blow at that point? Also, is that woman going to wait for him to turn 18? So many questions!

good point! I never thought about that. We should ask write tom hanks and ask him what his character was thinking. Does he have a twitter? that would be the idea place to ask such a question.
