Died aged 71 of cancer. :(

I feel incredibly fortunate to have glimpsed her a few times, when I was interning at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, in which she used to act regularly. I used to spot her around town and thrill inwardly that I was seeing the honest-to-goodness, real-life Log Lady.

Rest in Peace and Power!

She's so great. God damnit.

I hope David Lynch finds a way to tell her story without her in it. I was so looking forward to knowing more about her and the log in the 2016 Twin Peaks series.

The good news is that filming for 2016 has just wrapped. The bad news is I don't think LL was in this season anyway.

She worked with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival? That's awesome! I'm glad she wasn't just an eccentric character actress in an eccentric character show... (Not that Twin Peaks was _just_ a show, but you know what I mean.)

Yeah, according to the Variety article, she was originally from Ashland (which I didn't know!), which is why she chose to semi-retire there.

I misspoke. From Welcome to Twin Peaks:

Quote:
In November 2014, Catherine E. Coulson personally confirmed she was set to appear in the new episodes of Twin Peaks that went into production this month, but it is unknown whether any scenes with her have already been filmed. Last year, well before the return of Twin Peaks was announced, Catherine reprised her iconic role in a music video for Pretty Little Demons (now: Regrettes).
