It's AMAZING. It's almost 2.5 hours and I had to pee a bunch of times but it is so enjoyable, so much fun, so funny too. I think all the superfans will be pleased and the regular movie-goers like me will have a great time. I won't say much since it's not out yet but I totally recommend it. So fun. And, against all odds, I actually LIKED the Hulk! For once! I never liked that character but Mark Ruffalo does it well, in both forms. Spoilering one thing AND being very vague about it just in case your curiosity gets the better of you One thing, I'm very sad about my favorite character dying

I'm in it for the Whedon. I mean, I would want to see it regardless, but the reason that I am SUPER DUPER excited about it is because Joss wrote and directed it.

I believe it was released worldwide a couple weeks ago, but doesn't premiere in the US until the 4th. And YES I am so excited for this! We're shooting for a midnight showing. I have to make time for a re-watch of all the other Avengers movies before then...And yeah everyone is talking about what an awesome Hulk/Bruce Banner Mark Ruffalo is.

Mat. Cabin In The Woods, Prometheus, Avengers and the new Batman movie are the new releases that I am/was stoked about this year! Sunday I will be in the cinema, eating popcorn and watching Avengers. Excited!

Not going to make it on opening weekend because of a couple friends being out of town (promised we'd all go together), but so excited for this at the IMAX 3D.
Dakini, I was going to say I was mostly in it for Robert Downey Jr, but then I remembered Jeremy Renner is going to be in this one too. The combination might be more than I can stand.
And yes, Nick...hobbit, new spiderman, and isn't the new batman this year too?

Just got back from the midnight showing. Mind=blown! Mark Ruffalo was an AMAZING Hulk. Better than the previous ones we've seen on the big screen. Agent Coulson! Why, Joss? Why?? He was a fan favorite throughout the last 5 films and there was even talk that they might do just a S.H.I.E.L.D. film with Coulson at the helm. He also just made his first appearance in the Marvel comics not long ago. THAT is how much the fans love Coulson. *sigh* And if anyone goes make sure you stay till the VERY end credits. There are 2 (two) hidden scenes. One during and one after.

so very good! everyone works so well together. and i loved that captain america became such a leader/strategist.
now hawkeye just needs a way to keep making arrow shafts on demand. perhaps stark will engineer it for him.
the shawarma scene was perfect! it was so great that they followed up on jokes like that. (and hulk's nonchalant punch to thor. haha!)
(we went and ate some afterwards. there's a place in cherry hill called norma's that makes a really tasty soy-based shawarma. nom noms!) there were plenty of seats left over in the 4:20 showing, and when we came out, the line was already way out the door for the next showing.
