Good stuff! Sad and tragic, yet so engrossing. Who else is watching?

Dammit! I meant to watch this but forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder. Now I have to see where I can find the episodes I missed.

I've never seen Twin Peaks! But from what I can gather, it's a little more gritty/real than Lynchy/weird. The acting has been really great so far. It's almost made me cry a few times when the parents learned that their daughter was dead.

I am currently watching both Twin Peaks (for the first time) and The Killing and they could not be more different! Twin Peaks is weird and quirky and funny and (to me) mostly incomprehensible, and The Killing is ultra realistic and emotionally draining. I'm really enjoying it.

Everything about The Killing is really bleak and somewhat stressful.

I watched the 4 episodes they have online. It's good! I really like the camera work. There are some beautiful shots.
Also love the family dynamic. I get the real sense that they could be a family. The reaction to the death killed me. I straight up cried a few times. But I cry super easily thanks to my mom.
And the sets! I love the Larsen house. It's tiny and cluttered with stuff so I can relate to it. It feels real.
I'm gonna try to find where I can catch the most recent episode.

If you have Comcast, these are On Demand.
I'm really liking this! It feels quite European (Ry says, "Hitchcockian") to me for some reason. I like the characters: emotionally complicated, intertwined relationships.

Anyone still watching? One episode left!
I can't believe there isn't more hype around this show. It is probably one of the best dramas I've seen on TV.

I've gotten into far more than I thought I would. I felt like vomiting a few episodes ago when Stan beat the shiitake out of Ahmed. Blech.

Last night's episode can be summed up as OMGSOGOOD.
And a BSG cameo!

I was just going to start a thread about this show! I've been really enjoying it to far--the cinematography is superb. It does get pretty bleak though, so I usually catch up on episodes when it's rainy/dreary out.
(They also film in Vancouver, so it's neat when I recognize some of their shoot locations.)

Its based off of a Danish show called Forbrydelsen (The Killing) which is now filming its third season. And I don't know about you, but thought the US version was just a bit to Americanized. If they had kept to the formula, each season would have been a separate murder investigation.

Does it get better after the first episode? I tried to watch it because it's set in Seattle, but was not interested in the first episode at all.
