Yeah. Her wardrobe is on point. I always get a little bit sad when they cover it with the doctor coat.

Mindy styles her own wardrobe on the show. I totally want her to be my personal stylist.

Can I come back here and say that I really like this show now? It took me three episodes to warm up to it, but I'm really liking it now!

Ugh, the midwives storyline. Awful. "That's fine if you're a healthy 22 year old and the baby will slip out of you no problem even if you're giving birth on the subway in a blizzard, but if you're older or fat or have anything remotely wrong with you, you're gonna need us OBs to cut you open and you'll be sorry you saw a midwife all this time."

And IF ONLY there were independent birthing centers galore in NYC!

For shame, Mindy.

I dunno. The midwife thing didn't bother me. It felt over the top like everything on this show.

Also...I spit actual spit from laughing so hard at Mark Duplass taking the eyelash off her face. SO funny!

Yeah, the midwife thing was a little silly, but I doubt Mindy Kaling really has a thing against midwives. It's probably just trying to be wacky like everything in Mindy Lahiri's life or maybe it was actually a commentary about how doctors view midwives? who knows. it was still a really funny episode! I really love her.

Yeah! I saw it more as commentary on the arrogance of western medicine.

I knew Josh wasn't going to last long, not just because obviously the main character needs dating conflict, but because his character was so accommodating and laid back and kind of boring.

poor Mindy, but that whole scene was pretty hilarious. I loved how the conflict sort of just resolved when Ellie Kemper was like "you really didn't know?" and then they both just looked defeated. Such a bummer, but that guy was a total dorkwad.

I don't know who was in charge of 'researching what a soldier is like', but that was awful. It was so awful that I was convinced that he was just saying he was deploying to get her in bed. Soldiers are not THAT cut off and they don't come home and get excited about self-checkouts.

Their chemistry is really good though! I'm getting all fluttery watching it. Though that might be because I am a South Asian girl who didn't date anyone who wasn't Jewish until I was 22.

They were so cute together I didn't notice how nothing else made sense. I'm totally going to watch "You've Got Mail" for the first time this weekend because of this episode. Damn you Mindy!

I totally re-watched You've Got Mail the other day after watching that episode.

'I look fine and I smell legit.' I was laughing so hard I had to pause and rewatch it. Last night's episode was maybe the best yet? I was so disappointed with the show the first half of the season that I actually stopped watching for a while, but I am so glad that TMP found it's mojo.
