I am starting this thread because Jordan and SOS are finally watching my Twin Peaks collection and I'm so excited for them!

So please, put Brian's new spoiler tags to good use!

so, if you marathon the series do you also watch the movie? if so, at what point do you watch the movie? in the beginning, since it's a prequel? what if you haven't seen the series before? after the killer reveal in the series or after the entire series is over?

I still have the box set & movies on VHS, but that's useless now.

I never watched Twin Peaks when it was on, but it's in my netflix queue. I should really get on that one of these days, huh?

I remember that my gramma, who never watched television like EVER, stumbled across it one day and pronounced it the only worthwhile thing they ever put on tv.

I actually saw the movie before I saw the TV show. I kind of wish it had been the other way around! There was no suspense in watching the TV show knowing who killed Laura Palmer. Although who am I kidding, I love it either way.

Don't forget the cherry pie when watching marathon episodes! Also, I'm going to have to hunt around and find the photos of the road trip my SO and I took out to Snoqualmie, WA. We ate at the Double-R and saw the sherriff's station, the roadhouse, Big Ed's gas farm, the Great Northern, the Fat Trout trailer park, Ronette's bridge, the motel from the movie, the high school, the sawmill, and so on. Then we went over to the Olympia peninsula and saw the beach where Pete Martell discovers Laura's body! Good wholesome fun.

I remember the show coming on in 89 or whatever and being all excited and my mom not understanding me and eating tofu and lighting candles and wearing Converse.

I remember watching this when it was on TV and being scared shiitake-less of Bob. And I'm rewatching the DVDs now via lovefilm and I'm still scared of Bob.

Ha!

Also, what do you guys think about Lynch's other stuff? I looove Blue Velvet and Dune, but I can't stand The Short Films of David Lynch.

I love blue velvet, mulholand drive, and some of the others. But I think my favorite is the audio book of him talking about creativity. I love hearing the man speak.
