One week from today! Anyone else excited? I loved this show back in the day. The reviews I've read say that the first episode isn't great but that the episodes after that are better. We'll see , though. That second movie was pretty awful so they should at least be able to improve on that.

i'm excited! but i was extra excited cause i thought maybe this post meant it was already available for viewing. I'm still pretty psyched it's coming back in a week. I feel kinda pathetic because I mostly just care about making sure William is ok.

Yeah! I really hope William's in this series.. he'd be a teenager now, right? So old enough to make an interesting character.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were on Jimmy Kimmel's show a few days ago.. the whole bit is worth watching but this part was my favorite.

OMG... I am so excited. Like, way more excited than is reasonable. The X-Files has been one of my favourite shows since I was about 8 (age inappropriate, perhaps, but my dad used to let me watch it with him) and I used to read all the novelizations and stuff when I was a kid. I have never really stopped watching it, but I did a full rewatch start to finish last year. I am such an X-Files geek, it's not even funny. And, yeah, this is pretty much my brain until next week: "Eeeeeeeeee".

I've been watching/re-watching the series on Netflix. I remember watching it all the time back when it aired, but I don't remember even ONE of the episodes I've gotten through so far. But, there are a LOT of episodes, I guess.

I read an article today that said Nick Lea (Krycek) won't be in this new season. That's kind of a bummer, he was one of my favourite characters. The character is supposed to be dead, but when has that ever stopped anyone?

Am I the only one who liked the spin-off series "The Lone Gunmen"?

No.
Although I really only remember a couple of episodes. You know what I tried to like but hated? Stupid Millennium. Stupid-mediocre- Chris-Carter-sapping-dumb show.

I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THE DAY!!!! Seriously, The X-Files was the first thing I was ever a FAN fan of. When it aired on Friday nights, my friend Jenny and I had a standing date to watch it.

I've actually never seen it - I liked Millennium, but I guess that wasn't technically a spin-off.

I was peeved when they killed off The Lone Gunmen in season nine, though.

24 more hours!!

It's looking like we'll have snowdays here on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. I know what I'm watching while cuddled under the covers Tuesday morning!

Ok, I'm hoping this was the " "let's quickly review everything so we can justify the new season" episode. I thought it was underwhelming but will forgive if the later eps are better.

The dialogue seemed incredibly wooden in parts. And were there more commercials than usual or did it just seem like it because we're so used to watching commercial-free on Netflix or whatever?

Oh, and didn't we have the "there are no aliens and it's all a big gubmint conspiracy" arc for most of season five?

Sigh.

I decided to put off episode one until episode two airs, just because I heard the first episode is terrible but it picks up from there.

I have no idea how I'm going to watch this, lets hope I can stream it somewhere at some point.

Apparently Shangela (from RPDR) is in episode 3.

I was falling asleep on the couch by 8:00 last night, so I decided to go to bed and take my chances streaming it somewhere. I hope I can!

I enjoyed last night's episode. A large chunk of it was just recapping and catching viewers up. I thought the ending was superb and a great setup for future episodes. Looking forward to tonight. Teen me had such a crush on Skinner when it was on the first time around. Was I the only one?

I was underwhelmed by the episode but I'll watch tonight's anyway. It's going to be on Hulu, right? Do they still have a week lag been an episode airing and it being available?

The episode itself wasn't great, but I feel like it's promising. I always liked the corn-ball self parody of earlier seasons, and it had a little bit of that. But I really want to believe that Mulder and Scully hooking up was not cannon. I love deep platonic relationship with unfulfilled romantic notes and want to time travel and get that back. Call me crazy! And I like the scum baggy Alex Jones type character. And Cancer Man! So glad he's back!
