I'm reading Stephen King's Misery and quite frankly I wish I knew the hobbling thing was worse in the book because I would have never started reading it if I knew. Not the scariest of his books but definitely makes me want to lose my lunch at parts.

Light by M. John Harrison. Seriously the best SF book I've read in ages.

I started reading Possession by A. S. Byatt, which is just OK. It needs to pick up. But I had to get my next book from the library and start reading it because I left that one at work, so I've also started reading Faithful Place by Tana French, which is already better than the first book. I really want to just read FP, but I feel like I have to finish the Byatt. Stoopid reading lists, making me think I have to read something.

I'm reading Thrive by Brendan Brazier and re-reading the Vampire Diaries.

One City by Ethan Nichtern. I read it a few years ago, but I'm seriously considering getting into meditation in proper and I liked his views on interconnectedness and being mindful when I read it before.

Reading The Life and Death of Charlie St. Cloud. Now that I've watched the movie, I'm not sure I want to finish.

After reading Angela Carter's The Magic Toyshop for uni, I went and checked The Bloody Chamber out of the library. It is awesome.

I just finished Confessions of a Homing Pigeon by Nicholas Meyer. I enjoyed it very much. I'm now reading Dickens' Great Expectations because of the South Park episode based on the book. I'm all messed up. I'll be reading along and suddenly the images in my mind will shift into South Park Vision. It doesn't help that the book is almost as weird as the show was.

Like my 50th time re-reading this book. I read it whenever I'm feeling down and it always pushes my last vestiges of hope in humanity to the fore. Studs Terkel was such a badass.

I read parts of this book in my dissertation reading. There were only a few bits that were relevant, but I read a bunch of stuff that wasn't just because it was interesting. The section on AIDS made me bawl.

I'm in the middle of Bacardi and The Long Fight For Cuba By Tom Gjelten...pretty good, interesting but not a real page turner.

Read The Stars My Destination (also published in the UK as Tiger! Tiger! for some time) by Alfred Bester over the weekend. Classic SF readers, this is a truly awesome book (that also was an inspiration for a lot of the New Wave SF of the 60s and some cyberpunk).

Right now I'm reading Books, Buildings and Social Engineering- Early Public Libraries in Britain from Past to Present.

I'm re-reading The Secret History. It is SO GOOD. I've always considered it one of my favorites but I forgot just how good it is.
