I like this show but I wish Ramsay would find another adjective or two, and the Walmart stuff is weird. I am not creative in the kitchen - more of a chemist than an artist - and I love seeking what they create with the mystery boxes

I almost feel bad for Krissi (and I don't like talking about her and feeding more attention to it, but jeez). Almost. I hope for her sake, she grows up after some more time from the show. I seriously, seriously, seriously hope she does not make it much further.

People are so much nicer and seemingly way, way, more interested in creative dishes on the Australian version! (finally watching, thanks to Vijita)

Yeah, I was thinking that Krissi likely has a lot of emotional issues. I don't think that gives her a pass to be a crasshole, but I also think there are probably some unfortunate circumstances that have made her who she is today. I would love to see her leave, though.

I want more attention to go back to Jordan. He's still my favorite, and I feel like the camera has been ignoring him lately! Despite her vegetarianism, I am actually really annoyed by Bri. Every time she says a line, it's as if she's trying to make them into catchphrases. I can't really describe it any other way.

The editing on the show this season is inconsistent from episode to episode. When Savanna got kicked off I was sad because she was framed as a positive good leader. I would not have wanted to lead that team. Think the Walmart stuff is getting to Joe and he's taking it out on the contestants? -- has he ever spit out so much food or said a dish tasted like dirt or mud so much?

The Walmart stuff is definitely more annoying than last year. I keep wondering how they can keep saying these (scripted?) lines with such a straight face. I think it would make me hate my job and take it less seriously.

Bri used seitan to make sausage! And they offered tofu and tempeh as other options with which to make sausage! How very accommodating of them to give her that. I was surprised.

That was cool!

I'm annoyed but not surprised they didn't try hers or show Joe's reaction to his sample. Who knows with all the editing, but I'd like to pretend that he didn't say it was bad, so that was a good thing. I did wonder how 'vegetarian' she was...even some vegans wouldn't know what to do with tempeh, for example!

Anyway, the editing just doesn't make me want to root for anyone.

And it seems like there is Krissi-handholding, which is obviously the worst.

I was glad they gave Bri the non-meat sausage options. I wonder if they gave her vegetarian casings to use though. Casings are generally animal parts.

And, yes, the Australian version of this show (which is my personal fave), is SO MUCH BETTER. The contestants on that show are so much nicer and more supportive of each other.

Jdfunks and I always discuss what we would make with the mystery box and the pressure test.. last night I said I'd make a simple slice of pizza with red sauce and sliced canned mushrooms on top and we couldn't stop laughing at how disgusting that is. Do you guys do that?-- think about what you'd make?

Anytime I watch shows like this or Chopped, Iron Chef, etc I draw a complete blank on what I would do. I'm pretty sure I would be terrible on one of these shows & just totally freeze

Jay and I do that ALL THE TIME. I was horrified by the canned mushrooms. They were awful. I went on a rampage of how a mushroom should NEVER be canned, and then he reminded me about how I ate them with vegan English/Irish breakfasts the whole time we were in England and Ireland. Touche. He suggested a cream of mushroom soup with the canned mushrooms and I almost puked.

I totally try and think about what I'd do. On Chopped, I freeze under the pretend pressure. I usually forget about adding other things from the pantry and am concentrating on how to make the mystery box ingredients and only the mystery box ingredients work. I'm trying to improve my imaginary performance.

For the canned mushrooms I had the thought of ravioli but then thought there wouldn't be enough time. Guess there was.

I really wanted them to try Bri's seitan sausages as well, but at least she rocked the mushroom course.

That gave me quite a good laugh! I wish we could all watch together.

I get super excited when one of the contestants makes something similar to what I come up with (in the comfort of my own home!) with but I am pretty sure that in the heat of competition I would be a complete disaster and make something awful, not finish my dish, and - bonus! - cut off all my fingers.

Just watching Master chef now. what happened? Chrissy said she didn't want to be on Bree's team and Bree picked Luca--I turned my head and there's Chrissy on Bree's team. What did I miss?

Gordon switched the captains. I CAN'T BELIEVE the show showed Krissi saying she hates Bri and Bri can't cook and blahlala and then she gets kicked off. I feel like the bully won. And the way Gordon reacted by saying "Ohhh that's not nice" in a fluttery way... not cool.

Okay I read Bri's twitter and I'm feeling a lot better. My favorite:
Luca Manfé ‏@MC4Luca 12h
Would have loved to save @MC4Bri because she is my #bestfriend in there, but this is a competition and we felt @MC4Krissi was the weakest.

What makes me feel better is knowing that Bri wouldn't have won this competition, and she would have had to go home at some point. And there is no way Krissi will win it either (she can't get by on just comfort food and pasta).

I think Jessi or Natasha might win

I'm bummed Bri got the boot. Now I'm not sure who I want to win. I guess anyone but Natasha or Krissi. I also kinda don't want Jessie to win but I think deep down its cause I'm jealous of her thin & prettiness.

I like Luca because of his cool accent and he seems like a sweet puppy dog but I don't think he'll win

I KNOW! And I absolutely hated the way Krissi was constantly bashing her for being a vegetarian. I wanted Bri to last longer than her to show her that a vegetarian could do well on the show.
Seriously though, I've been hoping Krissi would go every week for the past few weeks. So . . . she better go next week.

I think Jessie will totally win. She gets great feedback on her food almost always. Other than her, I don't really care about anyone else right now. Except maybe James, but just because he's adorable.

Why do all the contestants keep saying Jordan is this huge threat? He's good, but I don't exactly think he can win the whole thing. I feel like Eddie is a dark horse here, so I'm not underestimating him.

Wow, I actually felt bad for Krissi when no one came into town for her. Not like she didn't deserve it, but still.

Also, who would want to marry Natasha? Eddie says that Natasha has "heart." Nope, there's no heart there.

I wonder who will come back next week! I hope it's Bri.
