Yeah...not my smartest move. Apparently people want to hear about my experience, so I am doing an AMA on Reddit today.

http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/v ... peout_ama/

Thought you guys might want to hear about it :)

If you hate reddit, you can ask me on here if you are interested. Also, part of the reason they choose me is because I played up the vegan angle. Which of course did not work in my favor (lots of caramel and whipped cream. on purpose. that went in my mouth.)

So cool! I've not become a Redditor as of yet, but I've read quite a few of them. Love these responses. And I don't care what you say, it still looks like fun to me! But I kind of like putting myself in harm's way, so there's that.

I hurt myself pretty badly. Sprained my knee, crutches for 2 months. Its still kinda messed up, 18 months later.

The audition process was crazy! 75,000 people! 125 made it!

Jebus. I have been on the front page of Reddit all day. I can't believe I am so interesting. Or so bored that I have answered almost everyone.

So cool! It sounds like a fun life experience to go through that whole process. My mom once auditioned for Wheel of Fortune but didn't make it very far.

Also, I feel you on the chronic forked up knee...I'm sorry to hear that.

Thanks for posting, that's really interesting! I'm sorry about your knee.

It's cool to know where it's filmed... I managed to find the set on Google Maps: http://goo.gl/maps/3KSZ

oh yuck. were you at a point where you could just jump in the water and bypass it altogether?
i wouldn't have thought they would be so unaccommodating. makes me a bit sad, actually.

I always wondered about the repercussions of all those falls on the contestants.

If you just jumped in the water, then you got a time penalty. Since its a race against other contestants...that would not have been wise.

It was a good life expereince, but not fun. Too painful, even without injuring my knee. Which is too bad because that is why I did it! Thought it would be fun! not so much. That water...man. My lips, fingers and toes were BLUE when I came out of the water. It was about 85 degrees that day, and the water was about 40 degrees.

Kind of a bummer...I thought it would be fun :( boooo. not fun. Oh well, it's all behind me now (except when my knee hurts)

You know what the most interesting thing about the Reddit AMA was? how many people want me to sue! I actually had some lawyers contact me asking me to be thier client. But I can't do that. I mean, I knew what I was getting into. Some people are just lawsuit crazy, hoping they get hurt so they can sue the crepe out of someone (that's an assumption of course)

Oh yeah, and I will never post such an unflattering pic of myself online again haha

That sucks about the caramel and stuff. Did other contestants feel the same way about it as you did (too painful, etc.) or did you not really get to know any of them?

I am really impressed that you even tried! let alone that you made it so far! also that you seem to be so relaxed and willing to talk about your experiences.

The other contestants in my episode, they didn't have fun either. We had fun BEFORE we ran the course, hanging out, joking around etc. But not after the course! In fact, two girls that made it to the second round said (literally) "fork THIS" and left. A couple of the guys barfed. And I guess another guy quit after the second round, even though he made it through. Although reading some of the comments on Reddit from other people that were on the show, apparently some people had better expereinces than we did. People from other countries got flown, full expenses paid to the filming location in Argentina, and they sound like they had a blast!

I think that maybe we had a harder course than others? or more likely that it was that the water was so cold. It was close to freezing the night before, and the water was about 40 degrees (F). That is what they crew told us, and it is what I estimated too (based on my experience with ocean water temperature which I am sort of used to). And it was like 85 degree (F) that day too, so the difference in the temperature was pretty extreme. It was really hard to breathe in the water at that temperature. My lips, fingers and toes were blue when I came out.

I did it because I thought it would be fun! I thought it would be a good expereince, something I could share with friends and family. I guess in hindsight it was a good life expereince since I toughed it out, but I wish I had not forked up my knee. Stupid balls. Stupid Chicki haha.

Hey Massachusetts people - you can do something kinda similar in Danvers soon: http://www.groupon.com/deals/obstacle-c ... ce=uu98508

That would be one hell of a birthday party.

I became intrigued and I watched WipeOut just to see a PPKer on there, but didn't! And then, I watched half of the season! I want my money back.

I want my dignity back.

And I just looked for the video online...I was on the preview they had, some stuff that never aired, but I guess they took it down. My 15 seconds of fame is OVER!

Chicki you are a star on Reddit, your 15 seconds has been transformed and surpasses tv appearances. Anyone who goes on WipeOut has lots of respect from me. Tough cookies.
