I'll be seeing Sir Paul McCartney at Fenway Park in Boston with my Mom in July. Cannot begin to explain how excited I am.

Belle and Sebastian in July. They are one of those bands I thought I would never get around to seeing because they don't tour a lot in my area. But now I have tickets to see them. Yay!

I've never seen her because I'm afraid of ruining how I feel when it's just me and her in my room or something. What one word would you use to describe her on stage acr?

well, it depends. i've seen her all by herself and with a full band, and those are really different shows, and the past two times i saw her she was touring with thao nguyen, and that was really different from everything else. but i guess if i'm describing just her, um . . . perfectionist? she wants her songs to sound exactly how she wants them to sound, which means you can expect them to sound as close to what you've heard before as she can get them with whatever setup she's working with. and she's lovely and chatty and impressively self-possessed -- i always leave thinking that if i had to have a roommate, she'd be a good one.

My brother in law took me to see Coldplay last year and now I can die happy.

That's not what this thread is about, but they were amazing so I am reliving it a bit.

Alkaline Trio! It was good. I feel like I should've had more emotion over seeing a band I've loved for 10+ years though. It was just aight.

Savages in 4 weeks' time! I can't believe how lucky I am ... they are playing a third gig in my town this year, I missed the first two.

I got tickets to see Neutral Milk Hotel next year. Super excited. I'm also going to see Nails in Bristol at some point soon.

They are one of my favorite bands. I saw them twice this year.

Anyway, I'm going to see Patti Smith in December.

I saw Haim last night, they were great but I feel too old for concerts... the waiting, the annoying people, the bad upliners...

Anyone else going to see The Julie Ruin and Screaming Females at their show in Asbury Park in April? There's a vegan restaurant called Goldie's there that looks good.

Lucky you! I was considering going to some of the other shows that are 3-4 hours away from where I live. But none of my friends like the same music I do and solo road trips are just not the same. I think I need friends with better taste.
