Revolution: The Hour That You'll Never Get Back

Network TV is mostly bullshiitake outside of a handful of comedies and anything involving Gordon Ramsay. AMC, HBO, and Showtime have spoiled me for quality expectations.

I liked Revolution, but I am a sucker for post-apocalyptic anything. Jericho's score in the first season made me want to shoot my tv but I powered through until the bitter end.

But of course it's going to get canceled.

Here are my reviews of the new shows I've seen so far. This post is pretty great; you should probably read it.

The Mindy Project. Somebody finally successfully adapted Cathy to television.

1. Please start a tv review blog.

Yesss, I laughed even though I loved the pilot.

I was really interested in Revolution, and that disappeared the moment they went with "Physics went crazy" as an explanation.

I didn't think The New Normal looked good, but I didn't know it was Ryan Murphy either. Hmm.

My friend is in 666 Park Avenue and it sounds awesome!

And in obvious news: Guys with Kids is terrible. I want to carry Jimmy Fallon in a frontfacing Bjorn as punishment.

A former PPKer is on Go On! Matthew Perry's assistant. I was like, "Why does that girl look familiar." She was also on Terra Nova last year but I never saw that.

i keep hearing scott speedman's name in connection with some show. i don't know what it's called or what it's about, but i guess i'll watch it. i'm also looking forward to cult (maybe naively), but i don't think that starts until early 2013.

I wouldn't bust her out if I thought she was going to post again, she never signed up for the new boards. So we will just beam with pride from afar!

I caught the 2nd episode of Revolution last night after watching the premiere last week -
- I don't like the daughter, and I really don't like the son
- the history...the flashbacks....I don't believe these stories, and I love post-apocalyptic
- I feel like I know far too much already
-TOO SOON with the reveal last night

The daughter is one of the most irritating characters I've ever seen on television.

I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt, since it took me a good half season or so to get into Fringe, but I don't know how much longer I can stick it out for.

nyc skyline + jonny lee miller in a twee scarf sniffing a carpet make elementary the best show of the season so far.
