How come nobody has taken it upon themselves to a good, adult witch film taking place in like 17th century. But not the Salem Witch Trials crepe because that's not scary and it's overdone. Kind of like Sleepy Hollow. This is one of my favorite childhood Halloween movies. It's on my list to watch by Halloween, but it's not on Netflix and I don't own it. I guess it's download time.

Hatchet. Loved it! Such a throwback to late 70s/80s era slasher flicks. Even has Kane Hoddor from the Jason movies. Must get sequel from Netflix ASAP. Tales From the Crypt: Demon Knight. Did not care for. It was fun seeing young-ish Jada Pinkett, though. When are they gonna bring Tales from the Crypt back to HBO??

We had a mini-marathon this morning.
Troll - terrible and hilarious. characters named Harry Potter... couldn't stop giggling.
Blair Witch 2 - seen it before. it's pretty bad, but creepy and fun. late 90s-tastic.
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil - loved it. more funny than scary.

Night of the Living Dead was on earlier. I saw Night of the Demons the other day. Now all I need to do is watch Night of the Comet and Night of the Creeps and I'll be all set.

I watched Orphan. It wasn't half bad. More psycho thriller than horror, though. It's just kind of unsettling to see Peter Sarsgaard play a dad... Has it really been that long since Garden State and all that? I'm getting old.

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is one of my favorites! Plus it's got Wash from Firefly!
Watched Hatchet 2. Not as good as the first one. Also saw Halloween: Resurrection. Halloween movies are always much better when they take place in Haddonfield. This one was basically all in Michael's house so bonus points. Still not as good as some of the other Halloween movies, but enjoyable. And it stars a young-ish Katee Sackhoff!

I promised Eppy's Dungeon master that I'd watch scary movies with him this month, but he didn't take me up on it till this week. Usually, I don't watch with him cause i'm a wimp. But we watched Lake Mungo and House of the Devil this week and I liked them both. Lake Mungo was better/creepier, but House of the Devil wasn't bad. I really liked 80s style Greta Gerwig.

Have any of you watched The Chernobyl Diaries? I'm trying to decide if I want to watch it this weekend or just stick with my normal halloweeny type movies and watch it another time. Also, I can't believe I haven't spotted this thread before now. Halloween/horror movies are my fav's.

We watched Seed of Chucky for the first time. It was possibly the most ridiculous Chucky movie yet.

It seemed like such a good premise for a movie but they just could not flush it out. It's really not worth it. I just got Something Wicked This Way Comes to watch. I watched it when I was much younger and it scared me so looking forward to watching it again.

I saw The Divide which came out this year, I believe. About a group of people living in a shelter after a nuclear war. Kind of the Lard of the Flies thing going on. Would recommend. Hatchet 2. Didn't like it as much as the first one. Still fun, though. Tomorrow, I'm going to a screening of Evil Dead 2 and Night of the Living Dead. Seen 'em both, love 'em both. One last chance to don my costume and a good end to the Halloween season.
