This is the best day of teenage me's life, because I found out that Veruca Salt and Luscious Jackson are both recording new albums and Mazzy Star's new album comes out tomorrow.

Yesssssss!!!!!!

Now all we need is for Sleater-Kinney to get off that interminable 'hiatus.'

I was talking about this the other day at work- all the bands I used to go see/listen to when I was a teenager are getting it back together! But now I stand at the back with a lemonade 'appreciating' the light show instead of getting bruised tits at the barrier in the pit. Teenage me is positively ashamed of what has become of her future self. ASHAMED!

Veruca Salt?! YES.

Taking Back Sunday is playing here soonish and I had to giggle about how my late-teenage self probably would have gone to that for something to do.

Hah, I used to be one of those kids covered in glitter-glue 'eyeshadow' (don't put glitter-glue on your eyelids, kids!) queuing up from 2pm to get to the front. Now I'm phoning the venue to find out stage times so I can turn up 1 minute before the main act go on. I suck! Hahaha.

Teenage me can hang out with teenage you and they can both snicker at the fact that I left the last show I went to so I could...go to sleep early.

I wasn't a teenager when I liked Veruca Salt. What does that make me??? Besides the obvious.

While Brian was deployed the first time, I drove from Tennessee up to Chicago and back (with another show in the middle) to see Veruca Salt, and that was when it was just Louise and a rotating backup band. I wasn't sad when that incarnation stopped making music because their last album wasn't very good and whenever they would play a show some drunk guy would just scream 'Seether' all night which a) is a Nina song and b) is about Louise so it's weird for her to sing.

I will show you all of my import singles. They are totally worthless thanks to the ease of modern file sharing but they're still mine!

I guess the chick who left before their last album still wasn't interested in coming back?
