Is there no thread for it? Is it really that boring? Are the judges really that unlikeable?

Well, James Oseland is as entertaining as always, but the blogger guy he has with him is super-annoying. He's like a pretentions 8-year-old, complete with 50's-style-scamp goofy teeth.

Well, there was that vegetarian chef last week who lectured the diners on the evils of red meat...and then got eliminated.

it just doesn't interest me, for some reason. dunno why. it could be related to the absence of Rick Bayless.

I didn't watch last week, BUT WHAT HE GOT ELIMINATED? What the hell. I'm not watching it anymore, he was the only reason I wanted to watch this season. I don't really like any other of the people.

I liked Suvir too, it's a shame he went.

I'm watching this season! I totally have a crush on Art Smith and on Lorena.

Spoiler for that injury that happened, I guess, on the off chance people haven't seen it yet:

Spoiler: show
OH MY GOD SHE TOTALLY MANDOLINED HER FINGER.

That's terrifying and must have been extremely painful, not to mention gory.

I think it's ok to discuss TV shows without spoilers.

Once again, this is pretty boring. I think it's the fault of the judges. I like Art Smith. The end.

I think the "problem" is that they all like each other, treat each other with cameraderie and respect, and nobody is a drama queen/king. Also, Curtis is no Padma.

I like Art Smith too.

Yeah, he sure has lost a lot of weight, hasn't he?

I like pretty much all of them. Takashi is pretty entertaining. There's just one guy who has no personality (or at least no distinctive facial hair, accents, or hats). Otherwise, yeah-- they cooperate, they help each other finish stuff. I actually like that, since it turns into being about the food rather than about people being jerks to each other.

But man. Mandoline. Those are already kind of freaky. Ouch.

Oh yeah Takashi is adorable too. And mandolins are scary as all heck.

my favorite thing about this show is that for the most part the chefs are all so grown up! i watch hell's kitchen and think "no way would i eat their food" but i'd eat anything these people made, assuming they made vegan things. (i say as the chicken livers are revealed)

I like that they're nice to each other-- "Take my eggs!" "Have my spare bacon!" That's awesome.
