For me the Beatles are just played out. I can still objectively recognize that they are one of the greatest groups ever. But I've heard all of their songs so many times that listening to them just makes me nauseous.

Big Bang Theory?
Some people seem to really like this. I have tried to watch it. It is very not funny, and very uncomfortable to even watch, I find it so bad. Is there some hysterical irony that it is so bad that makes it good that I'm not getting? And I did really want to like it because I was a big fan of Johnny Galecki in Roseanne.

True Romance was awesome. At least, that's what I thought at 16. Haven't seen it since.

Overrated: Freaking Black Swan. I am still reeling over the attention that movie didn't deserve.

Lost. i watched half an episode in the first season, one full episode in 2007, and the recap before the finale, and i knew exactly how that show was going to end. and i thought the scoring was offensively condescending. i know that scene contained dramatic tension, string section; stop talking down to me like i've never seen humans interact before.

But didn't you hear - Natalie Portman is in it!!

Which brings me to another overrated thing - Natalie Portman. Yeah, she's pretty but come on. Calm down.

Oh and Channing Tatum. I don't get it. Any of it. Decent actor at best.

My friends harp on me for not watching it, and I tell them I tried but it was so bad. I like television for background noise sometimes or will put something on while waiting. This is on right before Conan and I can't stand it even as background. Sheldon isn't funny. I will tell the world.

I'm not sure it's his acting people are worked up about.

you guys, snatch! but in general, yeah, i don't know what the big deal is. he's one of the worst dramatic actors i've ever seen. i think the only serious role that i could take him seriously in was his character in babel, but that leaves decades of unwatchable nonsense. speaking of which, i've never understood why people get all excited about se7en. they spend all this time building a character profile, and the whole thing unravels in about eight seconds at the end.

I dig Natalie. Keira Knightly isoverrated for me. I think she's like the Portman people settle for and she's always in all sorts of Oscar bait films and I don't get it.

I thought the first two seasons of Lost were great, suspenseful television. But then the show just stalled as it became clear that the writers had no idea where the story was going or how all the mysteries would resolve themselves.

EDIT: I'm sorry to get so defensive about other people's choices. I'm passionate about pop culture!

I think Channing Tatum is pretty godawful as an actor but good Lard is he gorgeous.

It almost makes me feel broken the fact that I can't see it. I can usually see and appreciate really attractive outer layers that mask bad acting and painfully awkward dancing.

But!

I also thought of another thing. Jennifer Lawrence. I dig her too but she's not all that.

Twilight. Justin Bieber. I'll think of more.

Zooey Deschanel. I mean, she's okay I guess, but what's with the obsession? And if I hear one more person use the work 'adorkable' I'm going to punch them in the throat.

i love zooey. i can't explain why. i feel inexplicably drawn to her. it's out of my control. it's her voice? her bangs? her dresses? she is like an adorable cartoon of a person. and maybe a cartoon of a person is sometimes more attractive and likable than an actual person.

i would never use that word though.

I loved "The Believer," "Lars and the Real Girl," "Blue Valentine," "Crazy, Stupid Love," "Drive" and "The Ides of March." I even really enjoyed "The Notebook." Yeah, I'm man enough to say it.

He's no Daniel Craig. Delicious, delicious, Daniel Craig.

The Catcher in the Rye. Whiny forking teenagers.

I love Johnny Depp and Kill Bill.

Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, I think not (both are bleargh)
