That was a wild ride! I'm glad they handled the conflict between Merle and Daryl the way they did. It worked out well.

Also:

I doubt they will tolerate Merle as a leader.

The scene with Daryl telling Merle off made this episode alone.

Then there was the fantastic battle scene. I didn't see the woman who drove the zombie truck get away with the governor. I wonder if she is still there. We might not find out as the writers love dropping loose ends like that.

Incredible they had one of their guys sneak into the prison and all of the way into the guard tower.

oh man! i just got caught up. I think Merle will be back, but not welcomed. He'll be tolerated because he helped out, but that's about it.

Do you think the governor left thinking they were done for, or did he just leave thinking he'd taught them a lesson? I love when bad guys leave thinking they've killed someone and don't wait to see if the job was actually done. Such hubris!

and Andrea STILL hasn't run away from the governor? jeeeeze.

They seem to be getting into a pattern of anticipating crisis, starting to prepare for it, but getting caught by it before they are fully prepared. Last season they were packing up to leave the farm when they got hit with the herd.

Nobody even cares about the helicopters any more.

Y'know, I think I'm not very comfortable with a dude who hallucinates as much as Rick carrying all those guns.

The Lori storyline is a snoozefest.

Yeah...I'm annoyed by it.

Who was the woman that drove the truck? I worried for a split second that it was Andrea, proving her loyalty to one side.

Also, where are the new people?

At the end of the episode, my husband asked me if Rick saw Lori again or if he was "back." I'm hoping for the latter, because I don't care about ghosts.

Nobody knows who that woman was yet. There aren't any significant characters aside from Andrea on the Governor's side. S-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g things, maybe it was the woman from the new group, seeking revenge for Rick kicking them out of the prison and hoping to claim the prison for her own. I doubt that, they only just left the prison and that is too soon for them to hook up with the Governor.

definitely not andrea. remember she was asking the wall guard and nerdyboy where the governer was, and they seemed to know, but were being vague about it?

There is one other woman who seems like she's maybe gearing up to play a bigger role. I don't remember her name, but the first time I noticed her was when that guy was attacked by walkers and shot in the town square in front of all of the townspeople, before everything got nuts. Since then, Andrea has talked to her several times. But I think Andrea talked to her when she was figuring out that the Gov had left, so it's probably not her.

Yeah, I wish the rest of the show would rise to the Darryl bar.

i forgot about that! that was so nuts. that scene made me remember how much i love that they always show darryl getting his arrows back so it doesn't seem like he has magical unlimited arrows.

I think The Walking Daryl would be a great show. I can just see him being the last man standing at the end of the season, brushing the dirt off, and saying, "That was intense."

Oh my god every single second of that was so stressful!
