Yeah, I actually said this to Boyfriend during the episode. But I'm fairly certain that everything I know about Georgia (which is still very little) has been learned from this show.

i was surprised. i guess i assumed they'd been traveling most of the time between when they left the farm and when they found the prison, and that covered the better part of lori's pregnancy. in cars, they could have gone back and forth across the country a bunch of times in that period. if they were just lost and stumbling around in circles, it seems weird that all of a sudden rick's sense of direction would become crystal clear and he'd know exactly where he was and how to get back home. did he mention knowing what prison it was at any point?

It's not like he was in law enforcement or something. Oh, wait.

I don't think it would be easy to drive, really. I was telling my boyfriend I thought the condition of the roads was kind of unrealistic. In heavily wooded places like they keep showing, one really big thunderstorm hits and a tree lands in the road. It happens around here all the time. Not to mention those jams of cars.

well, sure, realistically. but if the roads in their reality are clear enough for them to get from the prison to the town and back in a day, they must be clear enough for them to have gotten more than a few hundred miles in seven months. they were probably stopping and hunkering down for as long as they could between legs, though. i feel like my instinct would be to drive as far away as possible. what if they got to wyoming and everything was fine? or maybe they should have headed for the coast and looked for a houseboat.

you can't farm on a houseboat.

You can fish and eat seaweed and be vegan.

can i eat dolphins and still be vegan?

(also i am so vegan, i totally forgot that "normal people" would be able to eat food they catch from the ocean. haha!)

Yea, I guess you're right that they maybe would have mentioned it if they left the state... but they've been moving for SO LONG-- it seems crazy that they haven't made it out of Georgia. Especially since they usually have a vehicle or two.

Weren't they just a stone's throw from the prison at the end of last season. It took them months of going around to find it at the beginning of this season. I think they just tried to keep ahead of the herd and circled around, not caring where they were going.

there's been some debate about that (not so much here). i'm not sure whether that fly-over shot was meant to show that the prison was really nearby or just foreshadow it as a plot element. i agree that it made it seem like they were about a hundred paces from the fence, though.

Also, that episode was bullshiitake. We learned absolutely nothing new about anyone and the storyline was not moved along in any way.

After really boring episodes like this, where really nothing happens, I always think its so weird that the people on the Talking Dead have so much to say and they always think its a great episode. I realize that the Talking Dead is just a Walking Dead marketing ploy, so they HAVE to think its a great episode. But really?

I turned it off 15 minutes in when I hadn't seen a zombie yet. Pander to me, walking dead or no one wins. I'm really over the governor and ready for the next big bad.

Yeah, when all that ominous music was playing and Rick was like 'WE'RE GOING TO WAR', I was like 'yeah, thanks, pretty sure that's been the plan since like episode three'.

Although I did enjoy the bit where Andrea kept talking to Rick and the Governor and both of them completely ignored her presence. For a blissful moment I thought maybe she was like Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense.

I enjoyed this episode for the underlying tension at the talks, wondering if someone was going to pull a fast one. I am very happy Rick didn't fall for the Governor's BS. I wondered why Rick let the Governor go on for so long after he expressed he wasn't willing to offer any compromise. My guess is Rick was sizing him up. I've noticed that people, especially the Governor, have been trying to jerk Rick's chain about Lori's death. It is cool to see Rick not fall for the bait.

He is an interesting character.

Ditto. He needs to die a violent death, hopefully with Ricks help and for partial payback for trying to jerk his chain with Lori's death and his daughter possibly being Shane's.

Sort of. He was also seriously talking about giving up Michonne. So I don't know if that's lousy writing or lousy Rick.
