I will very rarely post interviews but I really want this one to be seen by as many eyes as possible. Billy Ray Boyd was an animal rights, anti-nuclear, anti-war activist who's dedication spanned multiple decades. He wrote an essay "The New Abolitionists" in 1986, predated any other use of the term from this community, and advanced an approach that is important. I think this text, and Billy himself, offer a crack that we can work on to begin to work on a more dynamic understanding of what abolitionism can look like.
