I love this show! I own the entire series on DVD.

Fun fact: David Duchovony's mom was my first grade teacher.

I watched that show all the time until Mulder left.

"2Shy" confirmed that all people online are serial killers until proven otherwise

My favorite though was probably "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose". He prediction on how Mulder would eventually die was classic!

We started watching it when it first aired ... my husband taped all the episodes and the tapes made their way around my office and the show was one of the main topics of conversation at my after work pub meetings ...

Reminded me of the obsession people had with Kolchak: The Night Stalker many DECADES ago!

Did you read THIS excellent piece of news? I just wish I could be there. Since I can't, I hope someone records this and posts the video somewhere.

I'm so excited!!!!! I used to watch X-Files with my dad from when I was about 9 or 10, and was obsessed with it to the point that I had all these novelisations and trivia books and stuff. I re-watched the first few seasons in my late teens, when they were on TV, and then did a full re-watch recently, which I only completed a couple of months ago, and I still miss it so much. Which makes this even more exciting. Wah.

Man, between this and Twin Peaks I am just beside myself. I haven't watched the later scenes since they aired so I'm going to have to catch up on Netflix before the new episodes come out!

I was so annoyed 2 weeks ago when Chiller channel took the Sunday night airings of this show off the air, then got really happy again when reading FOX is going to make 6 new episodes.

I hope Gillian dyes her hair back to red for the show. She's supposed to be "a little *too* red". (Jose Chung's From Outer Space)

I'm looking forward to this! I wonder if they will do more "monster of the week" or if they will tempt us with some longer storylines. To see more of Mulder and Scully together would be awesome. I was a big-time shipper back in the day. Kill The Bee!

My sister said to me there making new x-files, we squeed a lot. That made me nostalgic and want to rewatch, but reading this thread. I was never particularly keen on the alieny-secret government episodes, I preferred the ones where they were chasing down weird and wonderful creatures. Although I think my absolute fave episode was the one about the off season holiday area for the traveling freak show entertainers, the tattooed puzzle man who ate anything.

During any of our re-watches of this show we skip all the Samantha and bounty hunter episodes. Enough already!

I still wonder how the Cigarette Smoking Man is going to return. Just saying "nobody stays dead" doesn't really explain anything.

^^ I agree veggiesue, I love the weekly 'monsters' episodes and always skip anything to do with actual plot/storyline when I re-watch!

Also here's my most recent tattoo, which turned out to be a strange portend of the new series being announced... (woohoo!)
