im watching the first episode of the new season and someone wanted to make "Dishwasher Salmon" which is exactly what you think it would be.

this show has potential

i was hungover saturday and watched most of last season. UH. MAY. ZING.

i did not see last season but some of these people are (unintentionally) hysterical

also i believe one of the contestants this season says his wife is a vegan.

Why hasn't there been a thread about this before?! I LOOOOVE this show! I've been watching since season 1 and am always amazed at how horrific people are in the kitchen. I hope Team Bobby pulls a win because Anne seriously annoys me in everything she does.

was last season the first season? the one wtih Anne Burrell and the muscle guy who's name i forget?

I love Bobby Flay. It's a sickness.

I also heard Anne Burrell isn't much better. I read some articles about how she harasses and degrades female chefs. And that's on top of her grating personality. Haha.

Nope! That was the second season. The first one had Beau Macmillan.

his name is Robert Irvine, i believe. he seems reasonably nice, though his physical appearance is so threatening that i'm always surprised when he doesn't go Gordon Ramsay on everyone.

It's so funny to watch him attempt to do a Gordon Ramsay on Kitchen: Impossible. Instead of screaming in their faces, he stands an appropriate distance away from them and talks sternly. It's adorable, really.

Omigod. The woman who thought tofu was supposed to melt so she kept smashing it! I was dying!

Confession: part of the joy of watching this show is watching people who have no idea how to use knives. It's like watching hockey. I also love watching them try to figure out how to use ordinary kitchen tools. The look of excitement on their faces when they figure out how to use a can opener is great. (I think this show brings out the jerk in me.)

Funny, I really like Bobby Flay! He is the best of any of the Food Network chefs about veganism. Even in last night's ep, when the guy said his fiance was vegan, Bobby Flay didn't flinch or say anything disparaging.

Mollyjade, totally with you. That woman who was cutting everything with scissors. Or how she couldn't remember the name of the utensils.

I also love that Bobby tastes the food. Anne is so mean about not even tasting food that she comes off as snobby to me.

I like how she lines up three carrots as her judgment.

I'm watching this show as well. Nearly any reality show that involves food competitions is on my to-watch list. Really. The melting "tufu" was the best part, but I also enjoyed people struggling with food processors and the one woman who made Spanish meatballs. She's an adorable little cartoon character in my eyes!

Oh. "Tufo." "Tufow." "Tufu." How could I forget THAT woman?

Is that Sarina? The one with the saffron garnish? The one with the really squeaky voice? If so, I LOVE HER! Like, seriously. She is a true joy to watch.

Yesss, she's so cute, clueless, and unsure of herself. I was happy to see her do well. :)

was Bobby Flay eating raw tofu while he was showing how to cube it?

im pleasantly surprised at how nice Bobby Flay is to the contestants on this show. he always seems like such a prick on Iron Chef.

I'm ten minutes into season 3 episode 1 and this show is making me really anxious.
