Has anybody seen this yet? It's a documentary made by the people at Animal Place about their massive rescue last year of thousands of egg laying hens at an abandoned factory farm in CA. It's really well done and so moving. It sounds trite to say I cried the whole time but it's true.

I met a few of the hens during my visit to Farm Sanctuary last fall and I remember when it was all going down and the calls going out for foster/adoptive homes. I was thinking about sharing it on fb but I'm not sure if I'll come across like a preachy vegan.

I want to watch it since I live next door but I get really emotional with this stuff.

I don't think it's preachy to share the link at all. Even my meat-loving, generally asshole-ish boss offered to donate money to Animal Place after I told him about what happened. This is exactly the kind of animal abuse horror story that omnis like to jump all over.
