Being bored and not really paying attention to details for a few episodes is biting me in the asparagus. I cannot keep any of the old white men with long beards apart anymore!
Also, oral sex.

I'm confused by the Unsullied by eunuch soldiers. I thought eunuchs became feminized once cut, like the guy on the King's Council

I'm guessing he really wanted to keep his Brotherhood vows with some Clintonesque "non-sex".

Seriously. I wish they would wear name tags.

I have a hard time keeping those beards straight, and I've read all the books. Yes to the name tags.

The range of hairstyles for the men is very interesting. You have guys who look very "medieval" like Ned Stark did, but you also have characters with fairly modern haircuts, like Jamie Lannister, Little Finger.

I wonder if those haircuts existed in medieval Europe and just were not used very much.

Pretty sure Tywin is my favourite character these days. He's so bisque-y, I love it.

Ugh I hate Tywin. I guess it means he is doing his job as asshat?

I also love Jaime more and more with each episode. He's all whiny and stuff about his arm being chopped off, though. Dude, get over it already (I'm all about the tough love)

I love Tywin. Mainly because he is a total asshat. I really love Jaime too. I think he's been brilliant the past few eps.

Oh and no one else will appreciate this, but you guys.... my bridesmaids dress for my bro's wedding is called 'Cersei'. I squeed a little when I read the label.

Awesome! I think I would have bought it just because of the name.

(I had to Google what color cersei was, but I can't find it! All I can find is stuff about Cersei Lannister)

It's just the name of the dress style. It's a coral colour.

Oh, ha, that makes sense. Re-reading your post I don't know why I even thought you were referring to a colour. I'll blame reading it before I've had my morning coffee. :)

I just loved/hated Cersei's face when Tywin told her about her marriage. Classic Cersei!

I'm trying to decide who to be for Halloweed. Oscha, maybe?

This is a super minor spoiler, but I'll tag it, just to be safe.

Spoiler: show
Jaime becomes a much more interesting character after he loses his hand. I love his friendship with Brienne so much.

I just read it. I don't think it's a spoiler if you're current with the show. It's not about a specific event.

I love the character arcs so so much. It seems to much about ascent and descent. I think that Varys' intense speech about influence pretty much sums it up.

I feel like I need to read a recap of tonight's episode or something. I'm losing track of the various stories and I didn't understand why some things happened at the end of the episode. I wish I had read the books.

was it the varys and littlefinger thing? littlefinger wanted to marry sansa because she may be the next heir to winterfell. varys tried to foil his plans by having her marry margery's brother. (and then sansa was crying at the end because she should have taken littlefinger up on his offer of escape. but i'm sure she didn't know he wanted to marry her)
littlefinger found out that roz was a double agent, so offered her up to joffrey for target practice.

I didn't get Sansa crying when the boat sailed away...why would she be that bummed littlefinger was bailing if she was supposed to marry loras? also who could not want to marry tyrion?

She'd just been told that she's been ordered to marry Tyrion instead of Loras, and didn't want to marry a dwarf who was easily twice her age.

I have to say in this episode the torture scenes made me seriously uncomfortable. I kind of skimmed them in the book, and felt that they were a bit on the graphic side for me in the series.

she wanted the perk of marrying loras so she could escape king's landing (and the terror of joffrey). marrying tyrion, she has no chance of that.

Good episode.

Was it just the way the scene was shot or did the wildlings scale the wall with only a few people? I thought their plan was to take an army through it? What do the gain by fighting the "crows" or are they just looking to get south to escape the white walkers? If the wildling taking care of the Stark boy didn't have to climb the wall to get south why did the they? The map in the opening credits looks like there is a body of water that spans the area north and south of the wall.
