Sally is so great, she reminds me so much of my friend's little sister. She was always just so cool.

I think the thing with Betty is that she is trying to be more daring. She said things that she wouldn't have said before, she dyed her hair and she went to the Village. It just seems like she is taking a lot of chances. We saw this in her before, her random hookup with that man after she found out she was pregnant, but to see so much in one episode was interesting.

I also find the Megan storyline interesting. She seems to have more confidence in what she is doing now than she ever had at the advertising agency. Although she was really good at advertising she never seemed like she felt confident.

I love Roger.

I also find it so interesting that this season is picking up later in 1967 and yet, the styles have changed pretty dramaitcally. All the sideburns, beards, the clothing beginning to look what I think of as 70's and ALL THE POT. Was that really allowed? I just cannot imagine being allowed to smoke pot nonstop at work. And, this is probably a dumb question, but was marijuana not illegal at the time?

Roger is the best!

Is there a new kid playing Bobby again? He never looks the same and always seems to not age!

They replaced Bobby last season! He's the kid that played Terri Hatcher's kid in Desperate Housewives. This season, I just think they made his hair darker, but he's the same one from last season.

I wonder if they will ever do anything interesting with Bobby. He always is in the background, but I also think it would be interesting to see the difference in how a girl and a boy coming of age would play out during that time period, especially as Sally is getting older and becoming more independent. Will he be influenced by her or will be rebel against what his sister does.

How much longer do you think the show will go on? I am guessing only one or two more seasons unless they want to go into the 70's.

Yeah, I once had a friend whose brother married a woman who looked nearly just like her, so much that they regularly got confused by others in pictures. This was layered in with some weird family dynamics, so it freaked me right out. But somehow I connected Betty's hair to her trip to the Village, not to her mother in law...but ew.

My husband read a recent article with Matthew Weiner and he said next season will be the last. They don't want to wear out their welcome. If its set in stone or not, couldn't say...

I think I remember reading that Matt Weiner has no desire to take Mad Men to the 70's. I agree with that. I think the end of the 60's is the perfect ending point for this show, though I will weep buckets when it's over. I love it so much.

I'm excited to see what Joanie has been up to...hope there's more of her in the next episode.

I don't think I ever identified with Don more than, what seemed to me, his post Hawaii blues. Hawaii is the best.

Also I managed to avoid spoilers and twitter for two days and then someone on facebook wrote "I can't believe Don Draper forked Lindesy Weir" God dammit.

What ever happened to Betty trying to rescue the girl? Will the girl come back? Hmm...

I know! When he was meeting with the hotel folks talking about how Hawaii made him feel I couldn't help but nod along.

I think (and hope) the girl was just a plot device. There are enough interesting, established characters to deal with; we don't need a Cousin Oliver or Scrappy Doo!

I spent most of the episode trying to figure out who the heck she was - did Betty's new husband have a kid from the first marriage and his ex died or something, I wondered? And only realized by looking it up online later that it was just some friend of Sally's. In general I thought there were waay too many new characters in this episode. Lots of new copywriters (fine), but also Don's new neighbors, the doorman, Sally's friend.. It was just a lot to take in, I thought.

I find everyone's take on the weird child rape joke reassuring because at first blush I thought it was so jarring and strange. I guess I never saw Betty as an unsympathetic character - to me she's always been someone who did everything asked and expected of her and never really reaped the rewards of that, with a world changing rapidly around her and being surrounded by people who only seem to get rewarded for straying outside the lines even as she loses everything when she does the same. But...yeah, I agree that actually using the word rape makes the 'joke' somehow less believable.

There was not enough Joan in the premiere. I know they can't focus on everyone in every episode, but as a general rule, I think less Megan and more Joan is the way to go.

TRVTH. I find Megan intensely boring. Then again, maybe that's the point: so does Don.

I feel dumb that I thought Lindsay Weir was wearing old makeup! It's the hairstyle or something, I guess. She looks her age. Duh.
