thanks!! Invite sent! I prefer Tumblr, actually. It's pretty much the same thing, except the look of pinterest is that of an inspiration board, so it's just pics with very little text. I do like my 'color' board though, which is mostly a collection of things that are my favorite color.

thanks for the invites, kitties & ndpittman! i'm in, and i have nothing to speak of yet, but i'm going to try to figure it out soon. i was in a workshop when i got your invites so i was trying to be a good kid, har har.
it seems similar in spirit to tumblr, in that you grab things you like and post them... but i need to learn the nuanced differences i guess. like, is it *only* for images (whereas tumblr also collects links, videos, quotes, etc.)? i shall learn.
i signed up using my twitter so it automatically connected me to some of my twitter friends; that was kind of fun.

I'm loving mine. Tumblr confuses me since apparently my tech savvyness stopped at 24. Which was nearly 6 years ago. I'm all for the visual bookmarks because I often don't feel like reading words.

My mom asks me questions, and I'm like, I don't know, I've been aged out of technology. My tumblr feed is funny, because it's either, GLBTQI, feminist, or AR politics, vegan food, kitties/baby animals, or pretty houses/interior design. I like having the deeper stuff when I'm in the mood, but sometimes I do just scroll thru to look at pictures. I will say as a Pinterest plus though, I'm friends with people that are IRL aquaintances that I don't know that well, and I love getting to know them better through their pins. It bothers me that may brain makes it Pine-trust though, whenever I look at the word. Random, I know.

http://pinterest.com/corrinajane/i think the layout keeps it pretty distinct from tumblr. it's definitely a more organized way of keeping internet inspo on hand. referring back to stuff you post on tumblr doesn't seem nearly as easy (or maybe i'm doing it wrong).
