I just saw it! Who else has seen it? SO GOOD! There were a couple roles I wish were cast differently, and a glaring absence of Mark Sheppard...but, overall, I loved it.

Not yet, but I'm planning to go soon! Maybe tomorrow, or sometime next week.

We probs won't get a chance to see it for another week or two, but I'm super excited. Partly because I'm sure it will be great, and partly because I'm really into seeing Joss's house.

I might be up for seeing it again if you want to go together! I'm away all next week but anytime after July 7.

I saw it a month or so back as part of Belfast Film Festival and absolutely loved it. I thought it was perfect, so simple and I thought the casting was wonderful.

I am excited beyond words for this movie. Hoping to catch it in the next week or two! So many great Joss characters!

I really want to see it, but wasn't sure when it would be out more broadly than random film festivals.. I love Garfunkel & Oates, so Riki Lindhome is the main appeal.

Dude! Thank you! I saw it last night and I knew she looked familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on who she is.

Loved the movie, incidentally. I'm not a huge Joss fangirl, but I'll admit the man has a lovely house.

I had no idea who Joss Whedon was before seeing him on Colbert, where I thought he come off kind of douchey. But I love the play - it's like the original screwball comedy - so I'm hoping to see it this week. And a couple people I know saw a preview showing at the Shakespeare Association conference, and thought it would teach well, which is always something to bear in mind when introducing Shakespeare to freshmen.

I would definitely recommend it, Desdemona. I think it made the play very accessible and the cinema was laughing up a storm. I am a huge Joss Whedon fan and a Shakespeare fan, so I may be biased, but I think he did a very good job.

We went today, and I liked it a lot! I'm ridiculously familiar with this play, and I thought the textual edits weren't too egregious (although it's interesting to compare what Whedon cut vs. what Branagh did in his film). More importantly, it hit all the right screwball comedy notes, I loved the B & W aesthetic, and overall the performances were good (with the notable objection that the guy playing Benedick is too old; he's not supposed to have 20+ years on Beatrice). I'll certainly recommend it, and will probably even see it again with my kids.

We're going to see this today - it's still playing at a small theater near my house.

Yay! I loved it a lot. It was really gorgeous. I thought this was really well acted and didn't take me very long to get into the dialogue and understand what was going on. I've also seen a play of this not too long ago, so that probably helped, too. Regarding Desdemona's comment about Alexis Denisof looking much older than Amy Acker - I think this was a little nod to the Buffyverse because their characters have this tragic love story, so it was great to see them together on screen again.

Well, I mean, Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof are eleven years apart...but I never thought they looked very different in age. They've played opposite as a couple before, and it was believable then, too, for me...and before, they looked much farther apart in age than this time.

I loved it. We saw it last night and man, oh, man. That was good.

Just got back from seeing it - love! It was so good. Seeing Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof play off each other again was so much fun. All the other Whedonverse players were great too, of course. I love playing "spot the recurring actor" with Joss' stuff, since he uses the same people so often.
