i keep not saying anything because i don't want to incur anyone's wrath, and i also don't want to ruin it for myself... but i love them! like, i've long said i'll be sooo sad when they retire. do i just have terrible standards? i think they're adorable.

maybe adorable is not the ideal attribute for color commentary?

Oh! I didn't even think of looking in this room for a TDF thread. I haven't been paying as much attention as I'd like, because I'm usually catching up on work stuff when it's on. I will say I'm pretty impressed by Kittel, and Veelers' leadout of him for the win yesterday must have felt pretty gratifying after having been crashed out by Cav the day before.

Anyone watching Cosmo Catalano's recaps?

Man, I was really rooting for Quintana today. Little dude is like an emotionless climbing robot. I'll be thinking of him when I race later today!

Josh and I watched yesterday's stage at a local shop/bar, and it was awesome. I'm officially on team Quintana. I was pretty stoked for Riblon's win as well, particularly after that little bit of off-roading he pulled on the descent.

Stoked as well for Costa. Hell, the whole Movistar team has been doing pretty good work. I could be biased, though, because I love me some climbers.

To recap:

QUINTANA!

http://www.cyclinginquisition.com/2013/ ... ntana.html

This is a great write up. The quote from Quintana about the 2010 Tour de l'Avenir is pretty much gold. So much respect for the dude.

thanks for that link, jordanpattern, that was super great.

i am totally BLERG about contador in general, so i was secretly meanly happy that he ended up riding himself off the podium that penultimate day. and yay for quintana!

i was really rooting for cavendish to win yesterday's stage, but marcel kittel is pretty amazing. good for him.

was it me, or did the "let's bring all the people who have won at least 5 times" thing seem specifically designed to rub everything in lance armstrong's face? oh, that and the chris froome remark during his thank you speech. i imagine that stung a bit.
