Do you think there will ultimately be more than four students at the school? It feels like they're working with a tight budget or something, I think the focus is too narrow and there hasn't been enough going on to heighten the drama yet. It hasn't really hit the ground running in terms of narrative, it's a bit of a slow starter, but I'm still enjoying it. Agree about the Kyle storyline and how great Angela Basset is. And yay - zombies!!

I hope that the school grows! The pace is definitely different than last season. The opposite, maybe. But I prefer it by far.

Especially since they are down one student (Madison). Kathy Bates is also doing a great job on the show -- she really makes you believe her fear with the Minotaur and now the zombies.

i was thinking how small the school is compared to the 70s flashbacks.

what is up with the husband? how is his story going to work into this?

I have a theory that maybe the fertility spell they did turned him into crazypants.

This would make sense, because I was like if he is a killer how has Nan not noticed this when she was around him?!?!!

This episode lived up to all of the hopes I've ever had for AHS; all the things I thought it should be but had always fallen short. Tonight's ep still had the over the top campy horror, but it had real pathos too. This series has much more of a layered narrative - I love the mother-daughter theme in particular. YAY!

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVED this ep and this season! Zoe is freaking awesome and I can't wait to see what else she can do. I'm also glad that she's a good witch who was horrified that another witch was being burned. And yay for Misty Day! Also, Delia knows what Hank did! It has something to do with Fiona saying "you can't see through his bullshiitake" right before she went to the bathroom and had acid thrown at her.

Ryan Murphy lies! I swear he said that there would be lots of dead Madison throughout this season and that Spalding would do more and more depraved things with her. I dislike her and didn't want her to come back to life. Maybe she'll get killed again.

Agggghhh. I for some reason got it into my head the show was on Thursday evening. I got all ready last night to watch the show and was so mad. I ended up sitting around watching some dumb home remodel show Wednesday evening at 10pm thinking there was nothing on.

I also saw something today that said Stevie Nicks is going to have a guest shot on the show. So awesome!

I'm confused about something. Marie said she had nothing to do with Delia's acid attack, because if she wanted to hurt her, she could do it without leaving Cornrow City. Why does she need Hank to kill people for her? She's really powerful, right? Maybe she knows Zoe's power is stronger than hers?

I didn't like the more recent episode. I thought it was a bit of a let down and the small axe man story wasn't very interesting which is too bad because the actor played the part really well and the story could have been more developed. It felt almost like it was thrown in there as an emergency filler.

From what I heard, it sounded like this is just his introduction! We'll be seeing more of him.

That makes sense- he'll probably be to this season what the Santa was to last season.

My assumption is that she needs someone to track them all down, so it isn't really just about the killing.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the axeman storyline, it seems like an odd addition.
Hooray for awkward threeways with semi-dead people!

The Axeman was a real person, and that letter that was read in the voice over in the beginning was an actual letter he wrote, so I feel like he kind of just got thrown in because he lived where the story is set. Also, no one actual knows what happened to him (he just kind of disappeared after that letter like in the show), so it's kind of like when they through Elizabeth Sharp into the first season.

This week's episode was … ok. Not sure how I feel about what Queenie did at the end. I mean I understand her thinking but still.

it's like every season by episode 6-8, i'm ready for this show to be over.
once again this season has 50 bagillion subplots (red herrings) that makes it difficult to care about any of it.

I like this season and don't think there are that many subplots going on. I feel like a big showdown is coming within the next week or so.
