Oh damnit, I didn't know it was on tonight! I have a crush on Mr. Sandberg (even though I never watch SNL, so I don't know where this came from) so I'll have to catch it on hulu or something.

It was cute - like a few SNL skits mushed together and drawn out a bit too long. I think some of the characters are two one-dimensional to sustain much interest (like Rosa Diaz and the other officer who is into her). I was a bit sad that they're already setting it up with this weird sexual vibe - Amy and Jake are competing at work and she has to go on a date with him if she loses - because (A) that hasn't been done to death and (B) it just feels like weird workplace harassment. And the receptionist is basically a Rachel Dratch character.

On the other hand Andy Braugher was brilliant - his delivery was perfect and I loved that he was an openly gay detective who was passed over repeatedly. And I liked Terry Crews as the squad leader who is scared to go back into the field after having his twins Cagney and Lacy. And Andy Samberg was likeable enough, and looks cute in a speedo, so I guess a few more episodes are in order.

Totally agree with all of your comments, Tofulish! I enjoyed it, and I laughed several times, but it has flaws. I have hope for it though and I'll definitely watch again.

Dammit I just missed the last 5 minutes because Fox Philly did a stupid emergency alert, showing the video but having cops speak on the audio about a missing child. It could have been helpful, but instead of sharing what the kid looked like - or what gender it was - they just said "this is an amber alert, this is an amber alert." HOW STUPID ARE PEOPLE.

i like the Gina (?) character, the one who is some sort of administrator but i feel shes teetering on the edge of becoming a cheesy characature rather than a funny character.

i dont like agent Diaz (curly dark hair) she seems super 1 dimensional. i hope it continues to get better

Guys, I was so stoked on Artemis Pebdani's guest appearance on this week's episode. She busts me up- I just watched her Mary Ellen Pleasant segment on Drunk History and it was faaabulous.

I loved the end when the commissioner (?) was threatening them for arresting his son and the Captain just says "I've been an openly gay police officer since 1987. Nothing you can do will scare me." Badaaaass! This show is definitely going to be one of my mainstays this year.
