I agree. I am totally endeared to Buffy. She's definitely in my top 5.

I dunno. I always think Dawn has it bad. I know that teenagerdom is annoying. I don't even think it's fair to compare Buffy at 15 to Dawn at 15. I mean, Buffy was the slayer and that shiitake has to grow you up fast. Plus, I know how angsty and annoying I was as a kid and I wasn't the younger sibling of the chosen one.

Her awfulness is totally understandable, it's just not fun to watch.

And Michelle Trachtenburg had that shrill temper tantrum thing down pat. "GetoutgetoutgetougetoutGETOUT!"

I hated Dawn in season 5, but by season 7 I had grown to like her.

Ahhh I used to watch Buffy straight through on an endless loop and stopped at the 10th time, now I've started again with a friend. It's forking ace.
My favourite character? I liked Spike when he was bad, Drusilla when she was powerful and mad, Giles just all the time, I couldn't not like Buffy, Willow is just too cute and Xander was just great.
I like Oz and Willow together best as a couple.
Kennedy was my least favourite. Massively so.

Plus it always makes me laugh that Buffy's sister was Harriet the Spy.

Yeah, serious Kennedy hate. I don't know that I hate her more than Riley, but at least as much.

I think it's just hard seeing 15-year-old Buffy/Willow/Xander compared to Dawn. I think the party line is that Dawn was supposed to be much younger, but then they cast MT and didn't bother rewriting Dawn as an older character. Plus, MT's not the best actress, and she suffered even more by appearing in the midst of a super talented cast. Even when the actors didn't have the best range, they tended to suit their roles perfectly. The exceptions are glaring. *cough* Riley *cough*

I didn't like Kennedy, but I liked her WAY more than Riley.

Also, I like Riley and Dawn on paper. Just not as they appeared on film.

I hate kennedy the most! more than riley for sure. I actually hate her character so much that I skipped getting her autograph when I was getting other buffy autographs. ha!

I didn't hate Dawn. I think it's because by the end she was so much less annoying than all the obnoxious slayerettes of season 7.

Why does everybody hate Kennedy? I've always been pretty indifferent towards her. I didn't really think she was that memorable of a character even if she did have a semi big supporting role in the final season. Is it just the Tara replacement thing? I think I need to watch season 7 again. It's the one I've seen the least.

Everything about her is horrible. I wouldn't have been opposed to another love interest for Willow, but Kennedy was just so bratty and grating and she had a sense of entitlement bigger than the crater that used to be Sunnydale. I mean, almost all of the potentials were annoying in one way or another, but every time Kennedy busted out her whole "I'm special and clearly better than you, put me in charge of things" 'tude I just wanted to reach through the screen and strangle her while screaming "STEP OFF bisque." And that was basically every minute she was on screen. So.

I think Anya is my favorite then Willow, Spike, and tough Giles.

There will always be a special place in my heart for Angelus, though. Especially when he told Buffy's mom that he and Buffy "made love."

Spike, always. Then Andrew, then Oz.

But... but... what?! God, I hate hate hated Tara though. I think that's why I liked Kennedy. Plus, umm, hot. So much forgiven for that. So not comparable to Riley the epic douche! Or bloody Drusilla. Ack. *spits*

OMG get off Drusilla's back! I bet that was a really fun character to play.

Oh, I'm sure it was! The character was awesome, her 'English' accent made my skin crawl.

I really need to watch some more episodes. I've seen them all but they are getting fuzzy. When you guys said Kennedy, I was thinking Kendra and thinking you hated Kendra!

Oooooh, who?! I had no idea my Kennedy appreciation would ignite such passion and fury! The old thread was too long for me to catch up with. No worries, let's all sing-a-long-a Buffy and agree to disagree :) And I'll never mention my opinion on Angel...!
