I think Dawn definitely improves in season 7. She's less whiny and more mature and starting to become a legit member of the scoobies. She's still not my favorite, but I don't hate her like I do in season 5.

At least we were given four Dawn-free years of Buffy! That's a nice gift. I still don't get why Dawn didn't disappear after season 5

Wow, I just finished season 8 and, even though I'm still upset about That Thing That Happened in Issue 39, overall I'm really happy with the direction that it's going for season 9, and I'm pretty stoked.

I haven't read, but I know the basics and I've read Joss' letter. It made me feel more helpful for S9. I really missed Buffy dealing with RL shiitake. The fact that she didn't in S8 was one of the main reasons I forking hated the comics. Also, everything in Brad Meltzer's arc.

Buffy as a straight-up superhero dealing with huge superhero problems is not nearly as interesting as Buffy the person dealing with being the slayer.

Yeah, the show was based around the premise that she was a regular girl who just happened to be responsible for the fate of the world. In season 8, she was just a soldier. Plus, I really hated the whole slayer army thing. So I'm pretty happy about the new turn of events. But I really hope that Giles comes back in some capacity.

I just watched the last episode of season 5 a couple of nights ago and haven't been able to start season 6 yet. I'd forgotten how affecting that last episode of season 5 was.

Glory's the big bad, but the episode that whovian was referring to is the one in which Buffy sacrifices herself for Dawn and it's rull sad.

I think that when I rewatch, I might have to stop before the end of Seeing Red and not watch any more of the series.

I found the first two episodes of season 6 more sad than the end of season 5 though. Yeah, season 6 is way sad. I think Tabula Rasa is one of the most heartbreaking episodes in the series. (And one of the funniest. Oh, Joss.)

I watched the final episode last night. Do I have to start Angel now?

It's worth watching Angel for the second season, which is the best! The first season is blech and the 3rd season is fine, but the 4th season... there have been many filters formed here because of the 4th season

I was trying not to mention season 4. It's the season that shall not be named.
