I just finished Season 8. I totally agree. Besides the awful thing that happened, I like where this is going. It's getting back to what I like about Buffy.

I don't get why my avatar is offensive. Sam is strangling Dean and is about to rip out his heart (he's possessed by Meg). Yes, I guess it could be considered violent, but there's no gore or anything

I'm now deep into season 6 and a few of the early episodes got me crying again...granted, I was having my period, but still sad. I'll probably be done with season six by the end of the week.

I'm actually quite fond of this avatar, although I've never seen the show, so I am comfortable mentally editing out the fact that they are brothers.

I just finished watching Buffy through season 7 for the first time. I did not realize there was a season 8 so I will have to search for it. Considering the way things ended though I'm not sure how into it I would be... they killed most of my favorite characters at the end. I'm on season 2 of Angel, but it's not grabbing my interest as much. I'm trying to hold out since apparently Spike is going to appear at some point.

In case you don't know, the series was continued as a comic, so season 8 is in comic book form. You probably already knew that, but just in case I didn't want you to be searching Netflix or something for a Buffy season 8.

Well no, actually I didn't. Thanks for letting me know. I just did a quick search and discovered that there is also a Firefly/Serenity comic... where have I been?

That makes me so happy that these shows are being continued in some form. I was very upset when Firefly ended.

Just watched the "loony bin" episode of season 6 again. When I realized which episode it was, a little inner voice said, "don't watch it, you hate it!," but I ignored it. I wish I hadn't ignored it and need to write a note to myself in that DVD case. It just didn't have the feel of a Buffy episode...and how the hell could they imply that the entire Slayer thing might just be in her head, especially since Angel is off on his own and Buffy doesn't even know what's happening to him most of the time. I'd give that episode an F- if I was rating it!

I also saw that on Amazon they have the season 8 "motion comic" on DVD now for those of you who didn't know and might be interested. I haven't see the comic or the motion comic.
