Willow and Oz break-up ep always makes me sniffly. I think because it reminds me of my first really bad break up. Not that my ex banged a werewolf, but just in the "ouch heart shattering" sense.

I love the t-shirt that I saw that said "...then Buffy staked Edward. The End."

Watching Buffy now for the first time. I was hesitant to watch it because my ex-girlfriend was so fond of it, and the show reminded me of her, but I've gotten hooked on it.
I heard lots of people didn't like the fourth season, but I thought it was actually much more exciting than the third.
Wished Giles or Spike had their own spinoff, though I've liked what I've seen from two seasons of Angel. I always liked Cordelia and Wesley Wyndham-Price for some reason.

I'm not a fan of season 4's arc - the Initiative, Adam, not to mention the introduction of Captain Cardboard - but I still love s4 because it brings so many amazing episodes, like A New Man, Hush, Pangs, Fear Itself, and Who Are You.

Yeah, take that gross shiitake to the Angel thread!
Season four is definitely a lot better if you look at the quality of individual episodes and not the whole Initiative bullshiitake.
Also, Tara cancels out Riley.

I thought when Anthony Stewart Head left Buffy, that I heard that Joss was making a spin-off in England about Giles. Did that happen or was that something that never bore fruit?

I've gotten so used to DB in Bones, and I was watching season 1 of Buffy last night...he was so young! (he's still hot, but goodness.) I love how you can just feel the tension between Angel and Buffy, you just don't get that anymore

I liked season four because it was a good way to bring Spike back. I am also a big hater of Riley though. Holy crepe.
My boyfriend is losing interest in season four though. He doesn't seem to want to keep up with it. I have to agree with him that there is a lull... I love five though! And six. And seven.

vegetalion wrote: mrsbadmouth wrote: Also, Tara cancels out Riley. Agreed! I don't mind season 4, mostly because of this. Oh, I thought this meant Tara being awful beats Riley being awful. Which is a statement I believe. So, I've seen most of the Buffy episodes, I had seen basically everything but Season 4 and the first half of Season 5 because The Initiative and everything (besides Spike) that came along with Season 4, and Season 5 had crappy Glory and Dawn and it looked so dumb and I couldn't stand another season of a dumb villain plus the coming of crappy Dawn. BUT! I just spent the last couple weeks watching S4 and S5 and while S4 is bad minus some individual episodes, S5 is so good! I mean, I knew how it ended and everything, and saw some stand alone episodes in addition to the last 3, but not the whole thing as a unit (I've watched the other seasons all the way through at least one time each, multiple times for the first 3). I don't dislike Dawn as much this time around, or the Glory plot, and SPIKE!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO adorable/sad/lovely/heartbreaking/squeeworthy. I still think Tara sucks, mostly cause Amber Benson's acting is awful. I never feel like Amber Benson has confidence or self assurance or passion, as an actress, and thus all her choices/acting come across as weak. And I don't mean that Tara seems weak, as a character. I mean AB plays Tara weakly, like a non-entity and without ground and commitment. I don't know if I am explaining this in a way other people can understand. But I don't like it, and I remember cheering upon first seeing the episode when I wasn't sure if I need spoiler tags in this thread.

I haven't read any of her books, but this makes me dislike her even more. In every interview I've seen of her, she's just sort of a douche, and her reasoning for not wanting to return in Season 7 (as the First/Tara) really irked me. She claimed that it would upset fans to see Tara being evil, as if we're all too stupid to understand that it's not really Tara, but rather the First embodying her.

I started *really* liking Tara right before she died.
Now, whenever a character gets awesome, I start worrying they're about to bite it.
