I really loved Water Lily's dress! I'm actually kind of excited about this season.

I was ready for that guy to go. Cocky and obnoxious, and every time he gets a critique, he blames the team. fork him!
Oh, and I totally bought my husband one of those mutant cat shirts for Valentine's Day.

Two weeks in a row of good judging! I'm shocked!

I kind of thought the kilt was neat. More so than the pockets on the pants of the ball boy outfit that won.

I was also a fan of the kilt. Not a huge fan of the mesh tank top paired with it though.

I thought that the Spin challenge was pretty demanding, it seems like it's really tough to balance design with the functionality they needed to really have viable options. I liked the ballboy one that one, but it seemed incongruous with the kind of design we're used to see winning on PR. It's kind of like expecting the designers to design the next set of graphic T's for Old Navy.
Zac Posen seems pretty down to earth, which does result in good feedback for the designers but I do miss the Michael Kors dramatic flair.

I just cannot get into this season so far. I feel the team challenges are keeping people's personality/artistic visions in check...

I was wondering this too. I don't see how it could work otherwise?

I was wondering this too. I don't see how it could work otherwise? Yeah, I was thinking maybe the top three from each team would pick the rest of the team or something like that. The team picking was always a big dramatic moment, so I'm curious as to why they have avoided it so far.

I thought they were going to be constantly switching up teams. I hope they do it soon!

well they did for last night's episode, i'm a day behind since we don't have tv and i watch it the next day on the internet....
i was so surprised that joe got voted off.
i'm also not thrilled with the team concept, i miss getting to see each designer's point of view in a more obvious way. still, i'll keep tuning in.

Joe's looks weren't really my thing so I'm not sad to see him go.
The girl with the short dark hair is really getting on my nerves.

Joe seems like a really sweet guy, and while his design aesthetic is not my thing, I could totally see where he was going with this. I definitely don't think his look was the worst this week. I thought Patricia's looked like a craft project gone awry, and I thought that Daniel's model looked like she had green tumors growing out of her hips (especially from behind).
I'm not sure I like Amanda, but I was really annoyed with how the whole team seemed to gang up on her under questioning. I mean, yeah, she needed some help this week, but I didn't get the sense that it was a huge problem in the workroom. And isn't that what teamwork's about? You all help each other, and one week you might be the one who needs a little extra help. Unless a lot of stuff has been edited out, I don't get the sense that they're always having to run to her rescue or anything.
I'm also surprised that no one gave Stanley credit on the runway for coming up with the 50s Dior theme, which I think really propelled the Dream Team into victory this week.

I wish that there was some way to give them more time for the challenges. I would have liked to see Ben? (tall, Australian guy) actually pull off the dress he sketched for the Heidi challenge. The fact that the judges thought that everyone did a pretty good job this week when they had 2 days is a great example of the interesting kinds of things they could really pull off with the time.
