Wow.

I was really annoyed that we got stuck with Booth in acid wash jeans for the final. Bones pregnant doesn't thrill me.

Oddly, this kind of makes me think they didn't have sex, despite my earlier certainty. I mean, a couple of seasons ago, right before the coma dream, Brennan wanted to get pregnant via Booth's sperm donation. If I remember correctly he did donate and tell her she could use it.

My wife was in shock though. After she got over the initial shock she asked "Did he take a small step toward her before they cut to black?" and I was like "why does that even matter?" Her response: "What is this I don't even...FILM STUDIES IS MY THING! IT MATTERS!" :)

Either way though, they've got some interesting directions to go in now. I have a great deal of respect for writers/producers who actually make a huge change like this AND follow through on it with plot and character development.

amandabear and I were tweeting and she mentioned that that evil mustard hart might be doing a "they're pregnant but they aren't together" thing, in which case we will hunt him down and hurt him.

also, did anyone catch the last few minutes of idol before bones? the girl at the end kinda looked like a blonde angela.

Also, what is with all the grown-ass professional women on TV not knowing how to use birth control? Grey's Anatomy was particularly horrible for that - the only person who can't get pregnant is the one trying.

Seriously TV - you need a repeat of the middle school banana and condom demonstration.

I now really want to see B&B doing the banana demonstration....

yeah, i was thinking last night that no matter how upset Bones was, I can't imagine them not using a condom. if she did use booth's sperm, that's just weird!

yeah, it's true! it just happens A LOT on tv. Not necessarily just to bones and booth, but in general.

Yeah, its like a show gets a few years in and they run out of things to do to the female characters. So they get pregnant and then their babies disappear into a drawer somewhere to be trotted out on occasion to prove their not dead.

I want Bones to be preg and sensitive to smells and puke in the lab. Seriously, I can't even imagine being smell sensitive and smelling what she does every day.

Also Angela being rude and jerky in labor? Really? I wish that the swearing pregnant woman wasn't such a trope.

Well, to be fair, it was completely ridiculous that they were making her WORK while she was having a baby.

yeah, that was out of control. I don't really get the urgency to solve cases on Bones. It seems like they are always trying to solve a case immediately and working around the clock for it. There was one episode where Cam couldn't go on a date because they got a case, but like...you found a body that was a skeleton already, so the crime probably happened weeks ago. Why can't you work on it tomorrow?

Last night, Bones and Booth were undercover at the bowling alley, but going undercover doesn't mean you have to catch the guy in the two hours that you're there. The cases on Bones used to be a lot more interesting and realistic than they are now.

Also, while in labor I hit the wall and cursed a lot. Seriously.

I don't want Bones to have a baby! I was just thinking how awesome and childfree she was after Booth's babies are teh magic speech. Boooo.

does anyone know who that bowling song that they played while they were in bowling alley was by? I need to listen to it again. it was ridiculous!

For clarification, I worked in a small independent Toy Store for 3 years and the owner loved Raffi and now I do too.

i sort of love this show again. it was boring me for a while, but now i can't wait for next season. between the finale and the death of VNM, i spent all morning crying.

I really liked how they handled the pregnancy. They could have made it ridiculous, but the small glimpse was good. Booth was visibly happy, he loves kids and Bones. Bones was happy, but tentative. There was no weird ecstatic moment.

i caught a rerun on tv, and then caught more...now im watching the pilot on netflix. how is it so good! pilots are usually terrible. anyway, just wanted to record my start date. ill come back when its same for me to read this thread. i hear this seasons finally was super good!
