I just got back into watching this show from a 2 year hiatus and am now having a 6 season marathon. It's just so much awesome. I can even look past the science being terrible. But this may be because I think Brennan is me, except smarter, more attractive, and female.

I know! I'm so excited, but suspicious that we are going to get screwed on the number of episodes. I mean, really, a season premiere during what is typically a sweeps period? (Yes I read too much TV Guide growing up.)

It's only 6 or 7 eps this season because of Emily's pregnancy. I'm still excited, though!

Sure its only 5 or 7 episodes, but its 6 or 7 pivotal episodes in which B&B's relationship is completely transformed and we meet A&H's kid! It sounds like a very redefining season even if its short. Unless it all turns out to be a dream (again).

I heard there were 13 episodes this season. Like 6 or 7 starting in November and then starting back up in the spring with the remainder.

I felt like last season was pretty short too. They better not try and charge $40 when it comes out on DVD if it's only 13 episodes.

Short season because of Emily's pregnancy. The first 7 episodes with her visibly pregnant will air now until late December, then in January they'll show that spin-off series, The Finder, and in the spring Bones will be back. Her son was born Sept 22nd, so I guess any day now she'll be back to work making those last 6 episodes that will air in time for May sweeps.
