I want to be excited, but I just read a review of the first episode and the episode coming in two weeks, and it poo-pooed both of them. That was so odd. It was like Community but without the soul.
The Hunger Games plot and the Abed sitcom idea were all really good, but the execution was so lackluster. It was just so odd. And not funny. It makes me miss the genius of the last 3 seasons.

Yeah for a while I thought they were going to just do a Roseanne and replace Chevy Chase with Willard without ever saying anything. I know we've mentioned CC was really hard to deal with last season.

It was just way too much - All The Feelings, THG, the sitcom, the prank, whatever the fork Britta and Troy were doing, Willard, CC... And too little of the group doing things together. It usually works really well when the plot is overstuffed on Community, but only when the overstuffedness is working within the group dynamics.
