I thought it was great. I wouldn't want more than one episode like that a year, though.
Teddy Pierce could stay a regular on the show, and I'd be happy.
Jeff-in-the-Box was hilarious, though, because it was so not cool and his face looked annoyed the whole time. Kindof hard to show off your arms when your body consists of a spring. I liked that he ended up the least cool character.
I liked the Abed & Troy head-switching at the end.

Baby Shirley makes me laugh every time I think about her.

I was a baby/kid for most of the 80s, I think I get most of it but I am sure there are things I miss, it's the same with Spaced as they reference older movies/tv shows and sci fi/comics.

So far my favorite reference has been the Jack Black: "I'm strong..I can kick!" which is from a Crispin Glover Letterman appearance! Made my week!!
Also: BEASTMASTER!! Also: Cheers - M*A*S*H - Fawlty Towers! Also: the whole Kick Puncher thing...I have so many direct to video action films that are just like that... <3 <3 <3

But then again, how would I really know? I liked the claymation episode, I always had a place in my heart for those claymation christmas movies as a kid. <3 Frosty and Rudolph

I have no idea if I'm getting all of the jokes. I do know that I love this show!

I liked the look of the claymation; I just thought the plot was boring. It would have been better if they just did a normal storyline, instead of trying to explain why they were in claymation.

Yeah, I think the claymation episode was well-done, but ultimately not my thing. It was a brave venture, but meh. And this show keeps getting sadder! At least for Abed. Maybe it's a ploy to make him more 'relatable' and sympathetic, since his character doesn't really emote or relate to the other characters in traditional ways?

I'm glad that we are mostly in agreement - claymatino is a fun medium but not meant for Community.
I was so sad that there wasn't a new episode last night.

I just saw this show for the first time, the Christmas episode.... so it's not normally in clayma-plastic-whatever-mation?
I thought it was funny! I can't wait to see the real show if this is not even a good episode! I wonder if it's on On Demand... yes!

I'd go so far as to say that it's not vegan to dislike the stop-motion episode.

I loved the claymation. I loved how through all the craziness it showed their relationships, how they have formed and strengthened, how they were all trying to help Abed since his mom wasn't coming for Christmas, &c. It was sweet and funny.
Meggs if you liked it without knowing any of the characters that's pretty great!

There were, unfortunately, only three On Demand episodes, one of which was the Christmas one. I like it so far! I want more! The birthday one was my favorite of the three that I was able to watch. Or the pen one. I don't know, they were all (three, whoopie!) funny.

Yeah I love the pen one, that's a great way to jump in and catch up on who these people are because it relies on the character development and writing. Love that one. But I also love love the one with the racist groundskeeper and the hidden trampoline. That was magical.
