I'm so happy it's funny again! I missed actually laughing at this show.
So Barney's marrying Nora, right?

How did I not know until today that this show is narrated by Bob Saget? I was going to say that Ted must really change when he gets older, but... he's kinda dorky now too. In a good way.

He's the perfect amount of dorkiness. I'm such a fan of this show. But I'm glad their mother isn't Zoe. I don't know why, but they just don't work for me.

I watch reruns from 7-8 every single night on the CW so I pretty much know every other season by heart. But I have no idea what happened this entire year! I need to find a good recap.

NPH just tweeted that they were just picked up for 2 more years. If it stays funny, that's cool. But do we not meet the mother until the end?

If we don't meet the mother until the end, I'm not going to watch it. It's nowhere near as funny as it used to be. Plus, I haven't liked any of Ted's girlfriends since Stella. Even Zoe kinda annoys me and I'm not sure why.

Yea, it just seems like it'd be really hard to keep the funny going if they don't introduce the mother soon. And it can still be funny then! We can see Ted get married and have kids. It's the characters on the show that make it hilarious.

At this point, I'm sick of Ted's quest to get married and settle down, and wonder why they made a whole show framed by this one guy's boring mission.

I didn't like Stella either. But that 2-minute date still makes me smile. The pinnacle of thoughtful nice guy-ness. Love it. And I hope we meet the mother soon and have nearly 2 seasons to see the group dynamic change and adjust to that and see how Ted fell in love and decided she was the one and all that good stuff.

Eh. That's cool. I didn't like the progression of the Stella storyline, but I really did like her in the beginning. A lot of that has to do with my love of Sarah Chalke.

Also, I had to laugh (at myself), yesterday greenkiwi and I were talking about HIMYM and she asked if I'd seen the new episode and I replied "Yes, a bang bang bangiddy bang bang a bang bang bangiddy bang!" and she looked at me like I was a bit nuts :) mixmaster_mo wrote: A lot of that has to do with my love of Sarah Chalke. <3
