I love Robin Sparkles! The Dave Coulier thing was hilarious - it's awesome that he had enough of a sense of humor to do something like that.

I seriously think this is my most favorite episode so far! Robin Sparkles 4! Random Canadian stars! Dave Coulier indirectly referencing Alanis Morissette!

This was the best episode in a long time! I needed the funny from this show, cause I'm getting damn tired of waiting for the mother.

Ugh, its so frustrating. I swear to goodness if the finale of Ted's love story isnt the most romantic moment in tv history I will freak out!

This makes me really, really happy.

(Also, I think they did better than Hugh and Russell, and I would absolutely watch an all HIMYM version of Les Mis.)

OMG, thank you so much for posting that. I've seen it before, but I had forgotten about it. That totally just made my day.

I liked the thing with Marshall and the skittles in the last episode. It was the first time I have laughed uproariously during HIMYM in a very long time.

Just watched yesterday's episode. I'm pretty confused. What is this show doing?

Me too. I'm so confused. Did we meet the mother? I don't remember the coat check girl story that well. It was her roommate that is the mother, was that it?

The mother's roommate is the girl who was a student at the school when Ted was teaching.

I think it was all just to state the obvious - Ted doesn't want to hang on to everyone else's relationship and be the odd man out, he wants his own story and he was all depressed that night and if he could go back in time (to the time we're watching because Bob Saget is the future/present) he would go to his then-future wife and tell her that 45 days from then they would either meet or if they've already met, they would then get together or whatever, they did leave that part kind of open for either possibility.

Seriously! Okay, so we have a visual of the mother, but COME ON. At the very least, it should have ended with the wedding and with Ted meeting her. The dragging out of this has been elevated to ridiculous levels.

agreed. I also did not like the look of her. She looks way too young for Ted. And she looked like she was trying too hard to be hipster chic or upscale metro. blah. major fail in casting.

I totally agree. Someone on facebook was upset that the ending was spoiled for them before they watched the episode. I hadn't watched it yet either so I turned off FB until I did. When I saw it I was like "what spoiler?" Not a satisfying season finale.

Spoiler: show
And I just read that the ENTIRE ninth season will take place over that wedding weekend.

Makes me not really care any more. I don't know the actress, agree she's too young for whiny Ted, and since we already know how it ends, at the train station when they finally meet, what's to watch besides wedding weekend silliness and the resolution (maybe) of all their little crises that turned up int he last episode. Flashbacks??

I have never hoped so hard for a tv-related rumor to be untrue.

Yep. That might be the most boring season of television ever.

Ugh, I can see that either being awesome or terrible.

I figured the first few episodes would be devoted to that, but was hoping the rest would be Ted trying to woo her. Blah. I guess we'll just have to wait and see....
